FAN has shown a significantly big drop in both occupancy and collections on Monday. The average occupancy at centres that we tracked has dropped by around 50-60% from Friday and the collections too is low due to cheaper weekday ticket prices. The drop is Pan-India. Single-screen business has crashed and multiplexes in cities too have shown bigger than expected drops. And unless the film picks up in the night, the Monday collections are likely to come in the 6-7 crore range.
It’s no secret now that Shah Rukh Khan is going through a career low, atleast as far as the domestic box office collections of his films are concerned. He’s still bigger than most, but not quite upto the very high standards that he had consistently maintained for the first 20 years of his career.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that his upcoming production ‘Dishoom’ will release on 29th July, adding that it wouldn’t matter to him if any other film releases on the same date.
