Actor Randeep Hooda, who collapsed on the sets of Salman Khan-starrer ‘Sultan’ on Sunday evening following a severe attack of appendicitis, was scheduled to undergo surgery at Fortis Hospital on Monday.
“Randeep had been in acute pain for some time, but he is known for his professionalism so he ignored it to complete the shoot on time. Today (Monday) he will undergo surgery,” said a source close to the actor.
According to the source, he was expected to be discharged on Tuesday.
Randeep plays Salman Khan’s wrestling coach in Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming film ‘Sultan’ which releases during the Eid weekend.

Randeep is a very underrated actor. I like him. He has had a reasonably good career so far. Sarbjit & Sultan can put him in the big league of character role actors

Randeep Hooda is a brilliant Actor and has given some terrific performances in Jannat 2, OUATIM, Highway and Kick . 2016 is looking like a good year for him with Laal Rang, Sarbjit and Sultan . After seeing the trailer of Sarbjit I think it will be the Best Performance of Randeep and one of the Best Performances in this year . Hats off to this guy for pushing the limits for his passion.
He is very talented but underrated actor. he completely overshadowed salman in kick. in fact, he was the only watchable thing in kick. My friends who were huge salman fans, forced me to watch kick, but I was reluctant to watch it, but still for the sake of friendship and not to disappoint them, I was forced to watch kick with them, but trust me, It was only randeep whom I enjoyed the most during the late night show. movie was crap, but randeep’s brilliant dialogue delivery, his charisma and flawless performance nailed it and made me go ga ga over him. I am expecting the same for sultan. he will rock once again with his gluing screen presence which i find much better than salman. anyways, get well soon randeep.
