Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN has recovered Rs 45.95 crore in its first weekend at the box office. The film, which was made on a budget of Rs 105 crore, has to collect about Rs 59 crore more from domestic and overseas theatrical share, to recover its investment.
While the India business of the film has been below-expectations, FAN has performed phenomenally well in the overseas market. The film has collected Rs 40 crore in its first weekend and will be 2016’s highest overseas grosser in just 4-5 days after release. The current highest overseas grosser is Kapoor & Sons with total lifetime gross collections of Rs 47 crore, FAN has collected 40 crore in its first weekend itself.

in my opinion fan has two minus points
1. jabra fan song is missing-most of all audience want to see it on big screen, but its not their
2. the background score they used in the trailer is missed in the movie, if it used in action sequences it will defiantly done better than this..

Problem with all SRK movies recently is its not found appreciation.All his recent movies has opened very gud.
There is no where his stardom got reduced.
Just Imagine Salman movies collection during his bad phase.All his movies never use to open well at boxoffice at all.

if you add overseas and domestic even brotherscis hit, Overseas is abonus but domestic matters more what about the distiributers who lost their money in domestic.
Comming back to FAN 52 cr Weekend for a movie with such genre would be considered excellent numbers for any actor.But for SRK its an average performer.
Ever Amir Khan returning after 3Idiot with some supreme actress gave only 44cr opening weekend for thriller.
But SRK coming after Dilwale with no actress gave 52cr weekend.
it means it will be super hit….WW…
it is better if they took other actor instead of srk for Gaurav role then budget could decrease or took Salman/Amir for aryan’s role then movie looked more realastic.

Fan weekend overseas is bigger than overseas lifetime of Akki movies. Houseful 3 will be biggest flop.

Fan has put up a strong number Worldwide with GROSS collections set to be around 113-114 crore. This is easily the highest figure of the year beating the 78 crore of Airlift. In terms off all time collections it is the 11th highest ever and fourth highest for an Shahrukh Khan starrer.
More than being the 11th highest, the feat is to be among more commercially viable films. No film of this sort has ever even got close to 100 crore. The film is a little lower than films like Kick and Singham Returns but higer than the likes of Jai Ho and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
