Never mind the disappointment that 2009 has been thus far, the action is all set to begin as we enter the last week of the year and await 3 huge mega budget releases from the biggest Khan’s in the industry.
Its Aamir Khan’s turn first with 3 Idiots directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The expectations are high, but the good news is, those who have watched it, have loved it. Kajol Devgan, who was the first choice for the role that eventually went to Kareena was all praises for the film on twitter “Just came back from 3 Idiots!!! Laughed till death… cried till death!! In one word- MASTERPIECE. Want to work with Aamir Once Again.”
Come January, its time for Veer with Salman Khan. The promos have created enough buzz, the music is pretty good and Salman along with Anil Sharma promise a classic that will be watched for years to come. The film though, looks the riskiest of the lot with high costs and the fact that costume drama’s never really carry the craze of a masala actioner like Wanted or Ghajini. Veer’s opening isn’t expected to be earth shattering and a lot would depend on the quality of content and word of mouth. It could go either way, disaster or masterpiece!

Some of the peoples predictions on this thread are ridiculous, Salman Khan..Best Actor, get off, hes the worst actor out of the three who relies more on his body than acting skills, Veer will flaunt his body and not much else.
My Predictions:
Best Film: Anyone of the 3 films can be here, they all have positive aspects, but i have to agree with Indicne, 3 Idiots pushes it, just, for now.
Biggest Opener (India): The answer is aleady here…3 Idiots. Veer will not even make an attempt to break it, MNIK has potential but SRK is much bigger overseas, currently India are in love with Aamir.
Biggest Opener (Overseas): Without a doubt, My Name is Khan, even more when you consider SRK-Kajol combo. SRK is the only one of the 3 to make a considerable mark overseas.
Biggest Hit: Again, any of the 3, depends on what film is liked more by the masses, currently 3 Idiots is in the prime seat to grab this. Aamir brings what only Aamir can do-perfection. SRK brings what only SRK can do- an epic love story. Salman brings what has to be the most impressive in bollywood- his six pack and lots of violence. My vote: 3 Idiots.
Best Actor (Male): IMO two horse race between SRK and Aamir. Will be decided when we know the full extent of SRKs character, and wether he has given a stellar performance or an overdone one. My vote: SRK, if critics say it is a stellar performance, otherwise Aamir.
Best Actor (female): Kajol, ’nuff said.

although my all-time fav. is King Khan n i am dying 2 watch mnik, we cant really compare the 3 movies. I mean their genres r different. For Example, 3i is a comedy film, mnik is kind of a serious n a good lesson type of film n also involves 9/11, and Veer is sorta like Jodhaa Akhbar.
