Salman Khan’s Veer has opened to a fantastic response at the box office and is currently on a record-breaking spree on single screens. Business is best in North, East and Central India and worst down South.
Single screen business is 90% on Day 1 while multiplexes have seen around 50-60% average through the day. Combined, Veer has managed to nett 7 crores on Day 1 all over India.
As the film is performing best at single screens, it would be unfair to compare Veer based on box office nett collections. Going by the distributors share, the Day 1 business of Veer is next only to Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots and Ghajini.
Saturday too, the business is excellent at single screens and it would be very interesting to see how the film performs on its first crucial weekday. Tuesday, being a holiday (Republic day) should also boost the Week 1 collections.
If the trending is close to as good as Wanted, Veer should easily attain HIT status.
this film is all about how not to make a movie…everything is bad about the film..poor music..poor direction..poor music..poor acting ..poor sets ..poor diction ..in alll a washout.. this is a flop and no prayers from salman fans will save this film

Hi all salman fans. i m follwing this site since wanted released n really happy to feel close to salman well wishers…..in the morn salman went to jaipur to be part of the marathon…..some 15k or 20k people wer gathered….as salman entered mob went frenzy and literally situation was got out of control to the extent that it look like a scene of en earth quake n cops started lathicharge on people n salman samehow manage to escape…AND AS SALMAN LEFT PEOPLE WAS SO DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE WAS NO MARATHON COZ THERE WAS NOBODY LEFT AT GROUND.
THIS IS SALMANS TRUE POWER…SALMAN U ALWAYS ROXXXX…!

i started liking salman’s acting after ‘tere naam’. i think he acts gud when given opportunity. i watched ‘veer’ today…it’s a nice movie…….presentation is class……salman’s acting is superb….critics should be little soft while giving reviews…….they gave 4 stars to ‘dostana’ & ‘rab ne bana di jodi’ while gave just 1.5 stars to ‘veer’….this shows the difference………watch it once…..
Hey just saw evening show of VEER.. in a multiplex in delhi… sadly the theatre ws only half filled…dats bcoz the ticket cost is very high.. As for my view, i liked it very much mainly bcoz of Salman power and very gud action..also dialogues are really entertaining….I wish i shud have seen this film in single screen…as i wud have enjoyed more… Multiplex crowd is so sober…no one even shouted… Now its upto the single screen crowd to make it a hit…I truly wish that Veer rules the box office….ma fav dialog:-“hey kaaka, jahaan se nikalunga wahaa se paanch sher ghosh nikalunga..” awesome…I love SAlman Khan ..
Hi, I am from kolkata near barasat city. I saw the film again & cinemaplex called chayabani its going with packed houses . Audiences just shouting & cheering for ” VEER” . No tickets are available till tuesday . Just awesome movie .

@Anmol, personally I like Sohail Khan, but I think Salman should not carry him in all movies. He could have chosen a better actor dan him. And plz will anyone tell me abt yesterday nd 2day’s collection ? Um very tensed.

In multiplexes collections are under (75-80)%.
Sundays collections will be under (8.5-9) Crores. Salman khan says today on NDTV that ” VEER” doing good business at the box office .

hi guys,i have been reading all these comments since yesterday n being a true salman fan,i must say that people like ADII shoudn’t post anything here coz all he does is post bad things about him n then listens from everyone.
As for the movie,i went in with huge expectations and i must say it didn’t disappoint me at all,it’s a great movie,one of his salman’s finest work(not best though).The canvas is Huge and the movie is made for the masses.It doesn’t really matter if movie works at single screens or multiplexes coz ultimately it’s the box office which matters.
And i don’t understand one thing,why all salman fans doesn’t always watch his movies in theaters.High time guys,we need to show that salman is still a superstar,he’s no less than aamir or sharukh.
Zarine looks so beautiful,resembles Katrina to the core,have to admit she has acted well.
I’ll rate the movie 3.5/5.
Go for it guys,watch it only on the 70mm screen with your girl/boy friend/family.

@Rajib- i am from dhakuria in kolkata…… i went to basusree 2 catch veer 4 d second tym…… the audience reaction was just awsum… they all were whistling, shouting n clapping in every 5 mins…. the show was housefull…. even the hall manager brought some extra chairs in the balcony so dat more people can watch!!!!!! even tickets were sold on black outside…. cudnt believe it!!!!!
I think just because akki and sallu are not yashraj or johar product, people are trying to gun for them and destory their careers, i mean a good decent thriller and wellmade tasveer was downrated just because it had someone they dont like, and nagesh kukunoor was tagged one of most current talented directors by them, but when he makes a film with akki, then its bad.
