Salman Khan’s Veer has opened to a fantastic response at the box office and is currently on a record-breaking spree on single screens. Business is best in North, East and Central India and worst down South.
Single screen business is 90% on Day 1 while multiplexes have seen around 50-60% average through the day. Combined, Veer has managed to nett 7 crores on Day 1 all over India.
As the film is performing best at single screens, it would be unfair to compare Veer based on box office nett collections. Going by the distributors share, the Day 1 business of Veer is next only to Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots and Ghajini.
Saturday too, the business is excellent at single screens and it would be very interesting to see how the film performs on its first crucial weekday. Tuesday, being a holiday (Republic day) should also boost the Week 1 collections.
If the trending is close to as good as Wanted, Veer should easily attain HIT status.

but the movie ‘Veer’ is just fine and quite enjoyable.. songs and action are very good..

I have just seen Veer today. I am not a critics, so um not reviewing it. I just simply want to pick some points here.
Firstly, all da critics r complaining about da loudness of da movie. Well, its an Anil Sharma trademark, but is it unrealistic here ? U hav to understand dat Veer z not a royal prince, he is one of da bravest barbaric clan, who used to live in deserts or jungles. What do u expect from such a clan ? Very well behaved nature or rough and loud nature ? Certainly da second one.
Secondly, everyone z complaining about Veer’s son, dat he is similar to Veer. Well, son is similar to father is not abnormal nd nothing new in bollywood. If this is unrealistic 2 u, den where were u guyz in case of Om Shanti Om, where Srk was reborn.
Thirdly, da second half z very much criticised. But personally I felt da second half most engaging. Da whole movie was a bit slow paced, but it z very much natural 4 a history based film. It z definitely faster dan Jodha Akbar, Mangal Pandey, or Ashoka.
In da last scene, Salman got shot but still managed to survive nd kill da british. Well, definitely its not possible, but z it anything very much new or abnormal in bollywood films? Comparing 2 Main Hoo NA or CC2C or Tashan, da action sequences r very much clz 2 reality. U hav 2 remember one thing, Veer had been grown up by da Pindaries as a war hero. He has 2 be exceptional, oterwise dis film z meaningless. So breaking da sticks on his back or da super bank robbery z all needed 2 establish his status as a Veer. I dnt find anything here 2 criticise.
All in all, I found da film very interesting nd engaging. Da only negative side is Sohail Khan’s acting. His comedy irked a bit. Somebody truly told dat it would have been more interesting if he were dead at da interval. But nevertheless every movie has his negative side and Sohail Khan’s screen space z so small dat it doesnt matter much.
It has all da ingredients to be an all tym blockbuster, at least to me nd I think to da mass. Thank u all.
Yes – all tv channels should be told that Veer is doing very well indeed and not to spread lies at the behest of Salman’s enemies who are desperate to somehow ensure that Salman does’nt get another hit after Wanted. They are really scared that Veer might just hit the bull’s eye. Guys, do something to tell the channel Sahara not to spread lies.

you are right, there are two camps who are targeting Salman..first camp as we all are aware of is Shahrukh and his associates, and its not a new story.
The Second one is hidden and has more political overtones, as it has associations with news channels, business houses and some strong politicians are with him and he was recently convicted in major forgery and Land scams .. I am talking about Amitabh Bachchan and his beta-bahu joint .. This guy is now trying to get associated with Narendra modi(Gujarat chief minister) after using Mulayam singh in UP, who along with Amar singh protected him from his all misdeeds..
The movie Paa was a trick to divert public attention and to gain sympathy .. which worked very well.
and Sahara news channel is owned by Subroto Roy who is an associate of Mulayam Singh in UP.
I am a bit concerned as Salman would be alone with very little friends and he must not loose his cool in public and no comments for aishwarya or Bachchan family.. just avoid them as these guys are deceptive..
salman has the golden heart and our well wishes with be with him for his future careers.

In Karachi Veer has been running continously at Cable from Saturday but people are ignoring it and watching Veer at Cinema. This is Salman power in Karachi cinemas are housefull till wednesday and I will keep giving you update of Veer for next 10 days.

Hi,im dr.javed..dis s my first comment on indicine..i was a bit pissed off wit al these negative reviews,but stil i made up my mind and saw veer today..its not tat a bad movie as the reviews suggest..to b frank the indicine review is good..nd im happy 4 the fact tat audience r lovin it and ultimately the final verdict of the movie rests on them..jus keepin my fingers crossed..and im damn sure tat veer ll easily attain a hit status…guys sallu rocks big time..he has given a mindblowin performance…a humble request to al sallu fans:watch the movie as many times as possible,jus go 4 it guys…three cheers to our sallu..hip hip hurray
