Kahaani 2 averts clash with Dear Zindagi

The release of Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani 2’ has been pushed ahead by a week to avert the clash with Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dear Zindagi’. The sequel to the 2012 classic, will now release on December 2, a week before Aditya Chopra’s Befikre. The decision was taken to give the film a solo release. The film stars Vidya Balan, Arjun Rampal and Jugal Hansraj.

Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’ to be the major attraction at Dubai’s Bollywood theme park

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be make a smashing comeback as ‘Chulbul Pandey’ for a live stunt show titled ‘Dabangg: Stunt Spectacular’ which will be a part of ‘Bollywood Parks Dubai’ – which is the first Bollywood-inspired theme park in Dubai. A behind the scenes video was released which featured Salman, along with his brother Arbaaz Khan, playing their ‘Dabangg’ characters.

Most watched Hindi Movies on Television last week

Salman Khan has yet another topped last week’s television ratings with his old film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ (1999) continuing to attract viewers from across the country. The film at the second spot is ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’. The S.S. Rajamouli film has become hugely popular on television, which will prove to be huge advantage when the second film – ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ – releases in theatre in April next year.

‘I play an Indian character in Shivaay’ Vir Das

Actor and comedian, Vir Das had to post a clarification after media reports began doing the round that he plays a ‘Pakistani’ character in the film. “Guys! Given the sentiment of the nation, I must clarify that I play an Indian character in Shivaay” the actor tweeted, rubbishing media reports.

Mahira Khan not replaced in Raees, film releases January 26 2017

‘Raees’ is in the news for all the wrong reasons these days. Two rumours have been doing the rounds. One, a reputed newspaper reported that the makers have decided to replace Mahira Khan in the film. Two, the film has been pushed to a different date. We can confirm, both rumours are not true. Mahira Khan remains a part of the film and Raees will release in theatres on January 26 2017.

Dishoom tops television ratings of 2016 movies, Sultan awaited

Varun Dhawan’s Dishoom has topped television ratings for Hindi films released in 2016. The Rohit Dhawan directed film has beaten Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 by a margin of 22%. The other big success on television this year has been Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi, also starring Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, which garnered television viewership of nearly 70 lakh people.
