Gabbar Is Back First Weekend Box Office Collections

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gabbar Is Back’ has shown tremendous growth in business on Sunday, which has ensured a healthy total of Rs 38.90 crore in its first weekend at the domestic box office. The fantastic growth on Sunday gives the film more than a decent chance of going on to be the first film to cross the 100 crore mark this year.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron Box Office Collections in India

Avengers: Age Of Ultron continued to do well in its second weekend, collecting Rs 10.65 crore at the India box office. The Hollywood movie is already the 3rd highest grosser in India this year after ‘Fast and Furious 7’ and ‘Baby’. However, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ is expected to fall well short of ‘Fast and Furious 7’, which became the first Hollywood film to cross the 100 crore mark in India.

Gabbar Is Back Box Office Opening

Gabbar Is Back has opened well at the box office, even though the occupancy should have been higher since today is a holiday in most parts of the country. Single-screens have taken the best opening of 2015, but the occupancy at multiplexes was lower than Roy, Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Can Akshay Kumar deliver a big hit with ‘Gabbar Is Back’?

Most Akshay Kumar films in the last few years have grossed just about enough to recover costs, but no film has gone on to be runaway hits at the box office. His last solo-film that did well enough to earn distributors a lot of money was Rowdy Rathore, which released way back in 2012.

Avengers Age of Ultron Box Office Collections in India

Avengers: Age Of Ultron has collected Rs 10.85 crore on its opening day at the box office, setting an all-time record for the highest first day collections for a Hollywood film released on a non-holiday. The occupancy on Day 1 was higher than ‘Fast and Furious 7’, a film that released on a holiday (Good Friday) and went on to collect Rs 12.38 crore from all versions.

MR X Saturday (Day 2) Box Office Collections

Emraan Hashmi’s first release of 2015, Mr X, has flopped at the box office. After a poor opening day, the film had to show growth in business on Saturday. Unfortunately, business at single-screens dropped on Saturday and multiplexes failed to pick up, resulting in yet another film failing to even get a decent initial at the box office.

Mr X Friday (Day 1) Box Office Collections

Emraan Hashmi’s Mr X has collected Rs 4.5 crore on its opening day at the box office. The film that marked the return of Emraan to the Bhatt camp, opened poorly both at multiplexes and single-screens in the morning and failed to pick up towards the end of the day.
