Gabbar Is Back has picked up almost all over on Sunday. The film should collect around 14 crore today, as both multiplexes and single-screens have shown good growth.
Business of 14 crore on Sunday would mean a 38-39 crore weekend, which is a below-par total for a film like ‘Gabbar Is Back’. The problem for the film is the competition that it faces from Marathi film ‘Time
Pass 2′ in Maharashtra, Hollywood film ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ at metro cities and also the ongoing IPL matches – which tend to affect business evening onwards.

Without the above mentioned factors, ‘Gabbar Is Back’ would have probably collected around 45 crore in its first weekend, which would’ve been a solid base for the film to eventually cross the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office. Unfortunately, the Akshay Kumar starrer would now have to pass the ‘Monday’ test with no less than flying colours to have any chance of emerging a success.
The two-day collections are at around the same level as ‘Holiday: A Solider Is Never Off Duty’, but that film showed tremendous growth in business on Sunday collecting Rs 16.58 crore and ended its weekend with net box office collections of Rs 40.69 crore. ‘Gabbar Is Back’ is likely to fall a little short of that total.

Average collections.. I watched the movie and only liked one scene in it which was the hospital scene.. Second half wasn’t good at all. I don’t think it’ll do well in the long run.

Even a bad film like entertainment showed growth on saturday and collected 11.50crs which is more than Gabbar.
Also since Avengers was watched by many at the multiplexes so those people might not come again within a week to watch a film,what about this logic @indicine.. ;)

It would have been been a hit with other actor, but it will be a flop due to 60 cr king. Akki doesnt know acting, he should do begging, it would be a better profession.
Lifetime will be another 60-70 cr. How can a actor give so many flops. Akki should wear rags and sit on the road with a bowl. In that way he will stop giving flops. I will definitely gively him 10 rupees when he comes to my house to beg.

Akki is possibly the worst actor in Bollywood. He is always terrible in his acting roles. He can’t act somewhere else than South Crap Masala movies which don’t require a huge talent in acting with real emotions. Even if he was crying in a movie, I would not feel it.. . He also has a weird smiling..oh God i hate him when he show his horrible teeth.

rowdy rathore opening day collection was 14.5 cr with 2300-2500 screens with no holiday. ..but gabbar with holiday and 3000 screens scoring only 13 cr. it has disappointed me specially because he did promote this one more than his other recent movies :(
