Gunday vs Ram Leela: Box office collection comparison

Ranveer Singh’s latest release Gunday took a better start when compared to his last film Ram Leela, but couldn’t pick up over the weekday. While Ram Leela held up well in the biggest circuit (Mumbai), business of Gunday dropped across all circuits during the weekdays.   Below is a comparison between the two films. Both are clean hits, as Gunday was made on a much lower budget compared to Ram Leela – which is one of the costliest films made without featuring a top superstar. In the overseas markets, Gunday has collected around 15.5 crore in its first week, while Ram Leela collected around 33 crore. By the end of its run, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film went on to amass around 49 crore from the overseas markets alone.
