Darr At The Mall has collected Rs 1.05 crore on its opening day at the box office, which is poor as the film had a wide release of 1100+ screens. The other factor in its favour was the horror genre, which helps attracts the masses at smaller centres.
While the film did fare reasonably well at a few single-screens, it was a complete wash-out at multiplexes where Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Highway’ was the first choice.
The first day business is higher than last year’s Horror Story, which released on 900 screens and collected around 75 lakhs on its opening day.
