Barfi and Gunday make for an interesting comparison because both films feature Priyanka Chopra as the female lead, both were made on a budget of around 50 crore and both featured arguably two of the most promising stars in the industry.
The similarities end there. Gunday had a wider release (1550 more screens) and unlike Barfi, the target audience for the YRF film were both the multiplex and single screen audience.

The first week business of Barfi was only about 10% lower than Gunday, even though the opening day business of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer was about 50% lesser than Gunday. Barfi is also a fine example of how big a difference positive word-of-mouth can make, as the tremendous appreciation the film was carrying helped it nearly double its first week business.

Nice comparison Barfi ! Indeed it is a better movie than Gunday but one thing there were certain scenes which were plagiarized . In those scenes they should have given credit or should have taking permission . After all this they should have not sent the movie to Oscars but other than that the performances, story and direction were very good . So indeed a nice comparison . Ranbir and Priyanka have their career ‘s best performance in Barfi ! And i feel Arjun has given his best performance in Gunday better than Ishaqzaade . Although in some scenes his expressions were over the top but still his dialogue delivery was very good and in some scenes he was better than Ranveer so according to me Arjun was better than Ranveer .

I like ranbir more than ranveer,however ranveeer also a good actor.there is a more chance these two can easily beat hr,akshay,ajay,salman,amir with their star power.because from they are giving hit after hit just like KING SRK.
According to sources Hrithik and Katrina were shooting for Bang Bang in Manali and Hrithik reshot some of the action sequences because it was performed by body doubles and he was not happy about it . He wanted to shoot the stunts himself and the stunts were designed by Andy Armstrong in such a way that it will not create problems for Hrithik .The director of the movie Siddharth Anand also had no problems about it and even Katrina did not used any body doubles for her action sequences . It makes me proud that even coming after a brain surgery, medical check ups and stress in personal life he wants to do his own work . I am expecting Bang Bang to bea huge mmonster at the box office . It will be just like krrish 3 and i expect it to break records . I am waiting for Bang Bang 2nd October please come fast . Hrithik rules .
Real Kings are Aamir and Salman. Ranveer and Arjun are following their footsteps. The rest stars are self proclaimed kings who arent respected even by IPL watchman.

@indicine it’s not fair to compare a Barfi with Gunday, there is no equation at all. Barfi is hundred times better then Gunday. Ranveer Singh will be no where in 5 years time. It’s really hardto bear him for 2 hours.

I wil give it a 2.5 out of 5… Nothing new to offer..production design which was looking bigger n better in trailer failed big time in movie.plus points wer ranveer(the best one) priyanka n arjun’s acting..n irrfans dialogues wer good too.
Climax part was good.. But first half was average… Direction has nothing new to offer..same goes for cinematography.kolkata wasnt presented in best of its avatars.
told you guys Gunday is a pathetic movie….yashraj has fooled the public by crisply editing the trailer which drew large number people to theatres to watch Gunday…..now on weekdays the real verdict of Gunday is out, which is flop…..it will do max 70 .crore lifetime, the verdict is average courtesy yashraj production’s cheating tactics with the audience, we will see how long they can fool the audience…..
Gunday has more than double the screens of Barfi! Barfi! is a very heart touching movie with Genius acting… Ranveer is fairly a good actor… But he is nowhere near to Ranbir… Ranveer should improve his behavior off screen… He doesn’t respect women.. He is flirtatious…. He should change the behavior.. If not he’ll get irked by many in near future
I think Ranbir will replace Salman becoz whenever their fans think dat dey r on peak of their career,dey deliver a flop(Besharam n Jai ho),Shahid will replace Aamir(Aamir 9hits in 30yr n shahid 3hits in 10yr),but none can replace Srk(consistency matters)
