Bollywood QnA

Q. Why do movies like ‘Special 26’ don’t work as well they should? A. It’s the genre that limits the reach of a film. Movies like Special 26, Airlift, Baby have little or no appeal outside 20-25 cities in India. Whereas movies like Rowdy Rathore and Bajrangi Bhaijaan appeal to a larger section of the audience, which includes smaller centres. The other factor that make films big grossers is repeat value. Thrillers like Special 26 are watched once. All these factors combined end up restricting the business of films like ‘Special 26’.
