Presidential award for Madhur Bhandarkar

Madhur Bhandarkar, well known for his movies based on real life incidents, has directed critically acclaimed films like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Corporate and Fashion. Almost all of them were well-awarded. For his outstanding contribution to the film industry, Madhur was given the presidential award for Chandni Bar in 2001, and for Page 3 in 2005 by India’s 11th President Abdul Kalam.

Neha Dhupia in Karan Johar’s next

Neha Dhupia, who has had her share of b-grade success, but could never make it big in the industry, has finally signed a film produced by a major banner. The actress, has been signed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for their next starring Emraan Hashmi. Without revealing any details, Neha Dhupia simply said ”I have given a nod to that film. His fans feel that the world of ghazal is left with a void with the passing away of “immortal” Pakistani maestro Mehdi Hassan, who died in Karachi Wednesday.
