Something for you to comment on

  • Any actor that you feel didnt deserve the Best Actor award for his performance in a film? (See the full list above)
  • Do you think Filmfare has been unfair to the likes of Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar or any particluar actor?
  • Since 2000, the Best Actor awards have surrounded around Shahrukh Khan (3) and Hrithik Roshan (4), are they truly the best actors today?
  • Do you think Filmfare is ignoring great performances in smaller and less popular films? Like Naseeruddin Shah for A Wednesday, Rajeev Khandelwal for Aamir in 2009?
  • Should Filmfare ditch the current system of 50% Jury and 50% audience votes; and give more importance to critical acclaim than popularity / mass appeal of a film / performance / actor?

  • d biggest injustice has been done to Mr. Bachchan!!!…….i mean, d man has 4 national awards to his credit out of which 3 are in d best actor’s category!!!!………one was for agneepath which was overlooked by film-fare!!!!!………just watch agneepath, sharaabi, aakhri raashta, shakti n trishul (d confrontation scenes b/w Mr. Bachchan n Mr. Sanjeev Kumar r an institution for acting) n u will get to know d calibre of dis actor!!!

  • Yes, Shah Rukh Khan is the most deserving actor to win a Filmfare Award. And I’m really proud of him that he had won 8 awards… He’s an inspiration to every outsider. Kudos Mr. Khan. WE love you and you’re the BEST ACTOR.

  • n one performance we all r over-looking from d year 1997 is of Mr. Kamal Hassan in Chachi 420!!!…..in my opinion, one of d most flawless performances ever!!!

  • Yes, everyone cannot win an award, and few people would be unhappy. But, the awards for SRK are ridiculously given and shows clear bias, and so also ignoring Sanjeev Kumar and Amitabh.

No wonder Aamir doesn’t attend these functions.

  • These awards are based on popularity guys.. so actually no point in discussing which one was deserving and which wasnt.. by these awards we can judge the popularity of that role not the performance by the actor.. eg Hrithik wins for D2 having Rang De Basanti same year or Aamir winning for Lagaan rather than winning it for Dil Chahta Hai etc. but still. none of the winning performance can be looked down as voting public knows something.. the winner might not be the best of the year but it cant be bad..
and since indicine has asked several questions.. i would say in my opinion Amitabh is the supremely best actor of India.. and all SRK, Aamir, Hrithik, Akshay and Salman have their own positions which cant be interchanged or replaced.. Salman and Akshay are still comparatively less versatile actors and mostly play themselves.. while SRK and Aamir have proved themselves again and again experimenting with their roles.. while Hrithik is almost in their league..

  • I think filmfare is run by yashraj film, they win awards even though they dont deserve it.. for eg hrithik for dhoom2 where as aamir was ignored for RDB filmfare is losing credibility

  • anushka sharma for best supporting actress.. hahaha fakefare its best lyrics for gulzar.. jthj for challa one more blunder.. am not saying films like ek tha tiger and dabangg 2 should win awards but when a film like oh my god is ignored, feels really bad…

dabangg won best entertainer award at national award function but srk and hrithik fans think its crap.. Lets see the fate of chennai express and krissh-3 i wonder wat is different from other masala films..

  • I consider these awards r most authentic and always the most deserving one able to get this best actor award, still pesonally i hav concerns on two decisions in recent years tht is Hritik for dhoom 2 ,no doubt hritik is a superstar n big actor but in d 2 he shows more of his style than his acting skills ,the other 1 Ranbir for rockstar.,again ranbir is a good young talent but in rockstar his acting was just quite ok but movie was a musical hit..

  • @indicine SRK is the first actor that won both awards Filmfare best actor popular & critics in 1994 for BAAZIGAR(1993) & KABHI HAN KABHI NAA(1993)…..Check its…..how u say Hrithik is first one ??

  • The trend that SRK should be nominated for each and every role MUST STOP! seriously its surprising how he gets nominated for each n every movie…n yes Salman khan deserved awards n nods..its funny how when shahrukh doesn’t win best actor, dey create an award for him lolzzz

  • i like award function very much. I like all btown hero and heroine. I also like to see bollywood actor and actress together in award function. But i thing juries not take true dicision please take response and award give good performer doesn’t saw big actor and actress be’ze actor become big star to holding this type of awards. If juries take good and clear decision all respect this award.please associate people dicision also. And make greater valuable bollywood filmfare award than oscar.

  • I believed there is some unfair in filmfare award. Where Shah Rukh Khan deserved best actor award for his film “Darr”. It was a marvellous film. Another unfair with Aamir Khan for his film “3 Idiots”. And also Nasiruddin Shah for his film “A Wednesday”.

  • @INDICINE
SRK IS THE FIRST ACTOR TO WIN BOTH POPULAR & CRITICS AWARD FOR BAAZIGAR & KABHI HAAN
    KABHI NAA IN 1993.
JUST TYPE ” SRK ALL FILMFARE AWARDS” ON YOUTUBE & SEE THE 7.31 MINUTE VIDEO.THAT SHOWS
HE HAS GOT 15 FILMFARE AWARDS.

  • i am surprised that some great performances never get noticed even after60 years eg balraaj sahni in haqiqat hanste zakham anpadh and dev anand in hum dono pran in kab kyon aur kahan in dharma in gopi and dharamji in phool aur pather or in chupke chupke or mera gaon mera desh and jugnu and shammi kapoor in junglee or teesari manzil or vinod khanna in kache dhaage amjad khan in qurbani or lawaaris also rajendra kumaar in kanoon mere mehboob arzoo dil ek mandir and list is not easy to finish pl note

  • humanity, patriotic, different genre , exceptional love won film fare best actor award. some times two o three actors deserve award in a year. but award is given to 1. someone said srk did not deserve award for ddlj dtph kkhh. those are love film and was historic hit. on those year other actor could not give good and hit movie.

salman desrve for hahk but it is a women centric movie. and nana did well. salman lost to sanjoy in 99. his two romantic movie were defeated by two acton movies.

  • Rajendra Kumar was well deserved for his heroci performace in Arzoo 1965

but they give it to sunild dutt for khandaan 1965 which was very poor and biased decision i must say.

Dilip Kumar was not deserved for Azaad they must give Shri 420 ‘s peformance of raj kapoor.

Dilip Kumar was well deserved in 1961 for ganga jumna oustanding performance hte best of his career
but they give raj kapoor for jis desh mein ganga behti hai very very poor and out of mind decision. very poor.

  • Hi suniel
i agree wid u dat Akshay kumar never deserv a filmfair award sply over hrithik whose acting was epic in JA i cn bet no 1 cud do justice to d role of akbar den hrithik.. n Secondly Ghajini was gud so as amir khan’s acting bt cnt compare it wid hrithik as he was out of d world.. coming to versatality hrithik is a versatile actor n a actor per excelence.. Everyone is gud at der own place u cant compare AB n AK’s versality wid Hrithik cz dey r legends n hrithik is an actor who alwayz try new thngs.. I knw dat hrithik’s comic timing is nt gud bt u cnt ignore his versatality.. d roles he did in KMG, Lakshya, JA, Krrish no one cud dare to touch his acting skill.. And as an debutant wht he did in KNPH dat was also commendable without making people thnk dat dis film is his first film.. And after KNPH his unsuccessfull phrase also dint stop when people called him ‘One film wonder’ dats call ‘hrithik roshan’ n respect him

  • I start with Mr Shahrukh Khan and end with him
He is not just an actor he is a great communicator
    An inspirator
A Entertainer who no Hollywood bollywood Lollywood Tollywood Jollywood Nollywood Artust can touch
He makes you want to reach heights you have not reached before
Hugh jackson is the only actor who comes close as an all round Entertainer but even he can do song and dance and acting numbers only with out the extemporaneous skills of the man called Shahrukh Khan
Others are mere pieces of the whole Enchilada and that includes Hrithik Roshan who is good at song and dance and even acting but put him to do live Entertainment and you will cringe
As for Salman Khan great giver large hearted love his Macho persona great fun but by his own admission not the greatest artist-he is loved fir his great heart and his unique personality which does not translate into best actor
As for Ashkay Kumar he married Bollywood thru his wife he is a good man but looks like the bad guy in appearance and brings out nothing with his performances
As for Amitab Bachchan he was definitely average when younger but has grown in stature with age (not sure about his crazed angry spouse)
Rajesh Khanna is Amitabs contemporary (I think) and somehow Indians seem to forget that while they prop Amitab Bachchan
But there will never be another all rounder like Shahrukh Khan in this century at best and for that our hats are off to SRK

  • The 2003 filmfare Award for Best Actor was fixed as that idiot dumbo hrithik received it . It was all the way Salman’s award all the way but idiot Hrithik bought it with his baddie dad Rakesh Roshan. Anyways Salman Bhai will always be greater than all the awards . A Die hard Salman Khan fan.

  • SRK shudnt hav won for DTPH
his performance was good but nor award wining
Kamal Haasan deserves dat for chachi 420

  • I am very unhappy Hritik does not win for lakshy guzzarish& agneepath. but u not forget coming many of year are vry good for Hr bcs day by day Hritik fen are increses.BST of luck for coming Film Fare.
