The official release date of Shahrukh Khan’s much-awaited ‘Dilwale’ has been announced. Like ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’, two films that set all-time records at the box office, ‘Dilwale’ will release a week before Christmas on 18th December 2015.
The makers are currently shooting for the film in Bulgaria, after which they are expected to shoot some under-water sequences in Mauritius.

The final release date of ‘Dilwale’ sets up a clash with two other films that are also scheduled to release on the same day – Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ starring Ranveer Singh – Deepika Padukone and Feroz Nadiadwala’s ‘Hera Pheri 3’.
The situation is similar to last year, when ‘Bombay Velvet’, ‘Welcome Back’ and ‘PK’ were all announced for Christmas, but common sense prevailed and the biggest film ‘PK’ eventually got a solo-release.
While there are reports that ‘Hera Pheri 3’ is likely to be postponed, the cast of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ have reconfirmed that their film will release on 18th December.

As usual srk’s moron fans are going ga ga over this crap and predicting 400 cr like every year. it’s well known that it will not even cross 200 crores as there is no deepika or kangana in the film so no chance. kajol is looking like an old aunty now. no one wants to see uncle and aunty’s romance. youth will skip this crap. so no chance of breaking any single record. forget dhoom 3, PK and kick’s opening day records are out of reach as it is releasing on normal Friday. only rohit and varun will help to cross 100 crores as this is varun’s film just like brothers is siddharth’s film.
This is a unusual decision by the makers . Dhoom 3 was released on 20th December because the next Friday was on 27th which was after Christmas . PK was released on 19th December because the next Friday was on 26th which also after Christmas . But in this situation Christmas comes on Friday but still Rohit and SRK are confident of releasing this movie one week before Christmas . 3 Idiots and Ghajini were released on 25th and it broke all open day records, weekend records and both movies became All Time Grossers . This December looks interesting because Dilwale, BM, HP 3 and Wazir are slated to release on 18th Dec . According to me Wazir will be preponed because Farhan is a friend of SRK and HP 3 will be postponed because John will have Welcome Back, Rocky Handsome, Wazir and Jazbaa(In both these movies he is playing small roles) in 2015 . If SLB has the balls to clash with SRK because he has done it before in 2007 but the result was pathetic . Earlier BM had one week to do business now it will be very difficult because the audiences will be spilt from the first day and also the screens . Let us see whether this decision will work or not ? SRK and Farah decided to release HNY after Laxmi Puja because they were clearly targeting the 1st Day Collections and Weekend Collections of Dhoom 3 but i think now they are targeting lifetime collections . Dikwale will be SRK’s Highest Grosser undoubtedly unless something horrible happens which is highly unlikely . This year is the Best Time for SRK to deliver the Highest Grosser of the Year after 2007 . Now i am waiting to see what will be the next step of Eros and SLB . Whether it will be clash like SOS and JTHJ or a Solo Release like PK only time will tell ………….

ranveer and deepika are not producers. their money is not involved in BM. They are just saying to increase buzz about film. Eventually SLB will postpone it to Republic day 2016.

I am slightly disappointed with the release date..I wanted Dilwale to release on 25th December so that it can create 50 crore single day record and also around 120 crore weekend record..this won’t happen now..can’t say whether Dilwale will break opening records or not..I won’t be surprised if happy new year`s records remain safe..but on the other hand the makers are eyeing a 3 week open run so I guess the content of Dilwale might be good and if it turns out so then they might challenge or even beat lifetime collections of dhoom 3
