Right from the day Krrish 3 released in theatres, the producers of the film have been accused of ‘over-reporting’ the domestic box office collections of Krrish 3.
In a statement, producer-director Rakesh Roshan has said that most in the trade only go by assumptions and only know about 70% of the box office.
The veteran filmmaker said “Till Tuesday the all India net collection was Rs 237 crore (actuals till Tuesday Rs 236.52) while the international gross collections was Rs 54 crore. I don’t know about Krrish 3 breaking the records of Chennai Express but I know my figures and I feel elated.”
“We have put in so much of honesty and sincerity in the film. I am sure other films will break our records, but that doesn’t matter. It gives me an incentive to make better films, that’s all.”
“I’m not in a position to fudge the figures by Rs 40-50 crore. People don’t know the exact figures but I get all the figures from all over India in the morning. People just go by assumptions and know only 70% of box office while I know 100%. We opened at 4300 screens”

I really don’t know what their intentions were, but when they asked me for the figures, I willingly gave them the same. Now they say that the figure of Rs. 237.15 crores is gross and not nett.
I don’t know where this buzz about fake figures has emerged from, but I feel that there are some people who really don’t bother to go to the interiors and other sectors in a more detailed way to find out the actual numbers. I know the real figures; I have been getting updates from all my distributors, exhibitors and from places where my film is running right from the first day itself. So, I don’t really care about this line of thinking
How can I fudge Rs. 40-50 crore? Is it really that simple or is it a joke to change and pump up the collections? Besides they say that the figures I have shared are gross figures. In fact if I look at the gross figures that include the entertainment tax, and everything else, then Krrish 3’s collection has crossed Rs. 500 crores. I think they really need to go back and learn the difference between gross and nett figures first.

I don’t like doing analysis on box office figure. As some poeple are saying boi are targeting hr for publicity,But why did boi targeted hrittik?why not others?I mean they could pick srk ,salman too.every body knows pointing finger on them will give publity mostsomething is really fishy about krish3. Ce115 core but k3 overseas collection really less.CE is not kind of movie for doing well at overseas.
This Rakesh Roshan is shameless unbelievable. If he is telling truth then why its happening only to Krish 3. Mr now public is much aware of boxoffice so stop lieing . We have seen maximum of 20 or 22 crore but with krish 3 its more than 50 crore. you r simply shameless.
Rakesh roshan has lied again……of we even consider the 237cr nett figure as correct nett figure and 54cr as the international gross collection then how can the total gross be 500cr….
Then indian gross would be 237cr nett + 35% entertainment tax = 319cr
Overseas GROSS= 54cr
Then also the total groos will be 319 + 54= 373cr………..HOW THE HELL DID RAKESH ROSHAN SAY 500……..WAS HE OUT OF HIS MIND………
from his statement now it is proved that krrish3 producer collections is totally wrong and manipulated how can boi is wrong in every film collections their figure,s difference is not more than 10to15.then how can they bring krrish3 collections down.now i totally understand that krrish3 real collections will not cross 180cr.It is proved that khans is real kings waiting dhoom3 and jai ho.

Krish 3 is all ATBB…as declared by indicine and Krish 3 is blockbuster as per BOI…is there any other trade expert who says it is flop….please find out…hrithik haters will well do this job for us…but however as the film is blockbuster/all time blockbuster …that is victory for hrithik/rakesh and their fans. Be it 190 cr or 236 crs ..the movie is a big hit & it truly deserves it..As far records are concerned Krish 3 has highest single day collection and highest grosser in non hindi versions(Telugu/tamil) till date…these 2 records are standing high..
Now coming back to collections can any trade expert tell if a movie which released on 4200 screens and had 80- 90 % occupancy earn only 15 cr in day one…if the same logic is applied to Chennai express which was released on 3800 screens and had 80-90 % occupancy earn more than 25 Crs…Can Sharukh/Salman fans have any answer to this….
Moreover ramlella released last week in 2800 screens with 70 – 80 % occupancy could collect 16 cr…more than Krish 3 …this shows how BOI is outdated and fake…
I have respect for Mr. Rakesh Roshan for his contribution in Indian Cinema, though i am still confused but if he is saying true than a Big Congrats to K3 team and K3 Fans.

2.Refer to other more updated and accurate sources like BOI.co.in and Bollywoodtrade.com! All have claimed K3 to have crossed 200 cr!
Needless to say,the most important thing is that K3 is a blockbuster by any source anywhere in the entire world wide web & that is what is of relevance.

I monitored BOI on a daily basis. They have reduced their own numbers every 3-4 days for k3… That is very fishy to me… There must be someone very anti hrithik at BOI

Roshan Sr is a hack. All his movies are lifted from Hollywood from Khoon Bhari Maang to Krrish 3 (spiderman etc etc). The real actual collection of Krrish 3 is in 170-180 crores.

ever thought Krrish 3’s actual collection minus any extreme overestimation might actually be 175 crores. BOI has reported CE to be 228 which is not. Its 208 at best. just like ETT is 184 at best. Krrish 3 has never collected 10+ crores from telugu, tamil. It was an estimation not actual collection.

@Arvind : I don’t think Komal Nahta.Amod Mehra & Joginder Tuteja have anything to do with Hungama and yet they’ve all stated K3 to have crossed CE. SO either RR has paid out the entire trade barring boi.com or a third party rival group has paid out boi.com for reporting below par fake numbers. @Khan : K3 has collected exactly 10.2 cr from Tamil and Telugu versions as confirmed by the fake,manipulative and outdated site boi.com! SO that makes the total around 188-190 cr by BOI. According to more reliable sources like boi.co.in its around 210 cr,about -8 cr below CE

ii. Highest 1st Day collection – Ek Tha Tiger [31 crores],

iv. Highest Domestic collection – Chennai Express – 208 crores.
