One of the most awaited trailers of 2016 is out. Featuring Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead, Mohenjo Daro has been directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar – who has previously directed films like the Oscar nominated ‘Lagaan’, ‘Swades’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
The music has been composed by A.R. Rahman, lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar.
Ashutosh Gowarikar’s press statement:
“Mohenjo Daro is not just another historical; it’s pretty much even before history begins. It’s literally going back in the womb of time. It’s a world that I am most fascinated with — who were the people, how did they live, what was the society like, are some of the questions which always intrigued me. I am thankful that I got this opportunity to explore that world through cinema”
“Since this was a make believe world so when I started my research, during the initial phase, I came across Mr. Jonathan Mark Kenoyer’s books “Ancient India: Land of Mystery” and “Excavations at Mohenjo Daro”. I immediately got in touch with Mr. Kenoyer, Dept. of Anthropology, University of Wisconsin to seek his assistance. He has worked at the Mohenjo Daro excavation site for the past 35 years. To my good fortune, he agreed to participate to help me realize the true potential of the story on film. He then suggested to me other esteemed names who could give me inputs on the undeciphered Sindhu script, culture, the town planning and any and every other aspect that seems necessary. They were -R. S. Bisht, Ex-Director, ASI; Prof. Vasant Shinde Jt. Director, Puna University; Dr. P. Ajithprasad, Dept. of Archaeology and Ancient History, MSU, Baroda; K. Krishnan, Dept. of Archaeology, MSU, Baroda; and V.N.Prabhakar, Deputy Superintending Archaeologist, Aurangabad. It was wonderful that they could impart their study, analysis and knowledge to this project.”
Looks good but language is common Hindi that would be the downfall look at lagaan look at how they spoke n this is before BC

Boring all the way. I was expecting much more than this one. Now it hardly recover it’s cost at the box office
Only morons can compare Mohenjo Daro with Bahubali which is nothing but fictional movie. You will only see real fight, real war, real incidences and real picture of the city of Mohenjo Daro. If the buildings shown in Mohenjo Daro is not as good looking as the castles shown in Bahubali, then go back to those people with time machines and ask people around why the buildings and the infrastructures are not so good looking. Why those people did not visited the future with time machine to see bahubali to create castles like those in Mohenjo Daro. LOL!! It’s not a superhero, fictional or mythological movie, it’s movie that represent the real time of 2016 BC of Mohenjo Daro. Grow up!!

Its an epic..
To be honest, I expected a lot from this movie especially baahubali class vfx & scale but this trailer is kind of disappointing , it’s not a bad trailer by any means but still I couldn’t get that wow factor which I was expecting from this.
I see a lot of over acting, and i may be wrong but i find the costumes & appearances not belonging to that era, hrithik looks old & actress is a disappointment, the best thing so far being A.R Rahman’s background score , really out of this world & a huge goosebumper!

Being a huge Hrithik fan since 2000. I cant be unbiased towards this trailer but can try. Before this trailer my expectation were sky high, were those fulfilled?
Trailer started very well, it was engaging and able to generate curiosity about what will happen next. However 2nd half of trailer looks pretty routine. Having said that setting in Mohenja daro period makes the difference.
Hrithik looks in top form but they could have cast some other villain kabir bedi just looks out of place.
Overall, it good.

I know that you haven’t that because every predictions failed in front of Hrithik Roshan which shows his Huge Star power that no one have in Hindi Cinema because Khans EDX dependent Star and not work outside EDX But it’s Hrithik Roshan who gave equally successful films in both EDX and Non EDX and for that HRITHIK ROSHAN is biggest superstar of Hindi Cinema.

But same case was not with Dilwale vs BM clash. Dilwale vs BM clash have more benefits like Xmas release (Which better than Non EDX clash) which includes Winter holidays means about 10 days holidays like school close, collages close and many office people are in winter holidays that start from 24 Dec, No big releases in a month. So here too Hrithik is biggest superstar if we consider films that face all odds
