One of the most awaited trailers of 2016 is out. Featuring Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead, Mohenjo Daro has been directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar – who has previously directed films like the Oscar nominated ‘Lagaan’, ‘Swades’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
The music has been composed by A.R. Rahman, lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar.
Ashutosh Gowarikar’s press statement:
“Mohenjo Daro is not just another historical; it’s pretty much even before history begins. It’s literally going back in the womb of time. It’s a world that I am most fascinated with — who were the people, how did they live, what was the society like, are some of the questions which always intrigued me. I am thankful that I got this opportunity to explore that world through cinema”
“Since this was a make believe world so when I started my research, during the initial phase, I came across Mr. Jonathan Mark Kenoyer’s books “Ancient India: Land of Mystery” and “Excavations at Mohenjo Daro”. I immediately got in touch with Mr. Kenoyer, Dept. of Anthropology, University of Wisconsin to seek his assistance. He has worked at the Mohenjo Daro excavation site for the past 35 years. To my good fortune, he agreed to participate to help me realize the true potential of the story on film. He then suggested to me other esteemed names who could give me inputs on the undeciphered Sindhu script, culture, the town planning and any and every other aspect that seems necessary. They were -R. S. Bisht, Ex-Director, ASI; Prof. Vasant Shinde Jt. Director, Puna University; Dr. P. Ajithprasad, Dept. of Archaeology and Ancient History, MSU, Baroda; K. Krishnan, Dept. of Archaeology, MSU, Baroda; and V.N.Prabhakar, Deputy Superintending Archaeologist, Aurangabad. It was wonderful that they could impart their study, analysis and knowledge to this project.”

i have a huge expectations with action scenes like bull ,tiger fighting(not shown in the trailer) ,crocodile scene ,fight with those giants ,etc
hritik always raise the bar of action in bollywood like he did in dhoom 2 ,krrish series ,bang bang and now in mohenjodaro and then thug is coming next year

This is an unbiased review.as I’m a big Ashutoshji Gowarikor Fan.
Description :
Actually MOST OF US would have expect A bahubali magnitude of Sets/or something like that from Mahenjodaro movie.Isn’t WE?that’s where WE wrong after seen this trailer.
No doubt it has a huge set like Baajirao Mastani,but unlike Bahubali it couldn’t exceeded the expectation.taht’s where I disappointed a lot of Ashutoshji.
Why because Ashutoshji and hrithik took near a 1 year+ time to do thismovie.but when WE watched this I disappointed a little especially in the Grandeur and magnitude of the sets considering of oldest among ancient times.WE expected a more different from such a very very very very ancient time old.
But as the story moves,IT reminds US about another typical romance movie which not at all required here in this movie shows Bollywood’s Obsessiveness with ROMANCE GENRE.
I liked IT very much.but the thing is,as already Bahubali created a such a huge benchmark in the mind of the audience that below that from BOLLYWOOD+Hrithik,is now not at all digestible for the audience.
Honestly I expected a lot more.
But I liked this trailer far more than Baajirao Mastani honestly.
Now I was to write straight about Positives and Negatives.
*Positives
Sets and Locations are huge as expected though not Marvellous.
Hrithik ‘s body walk,his attitude is in top level.no doubt he is a top performer.
Seems it has a good twist and turn moments though couldn’t be cleared at this point.
The dark location where hrithik entered O like the most reminding me of some hollywood movies.
Negatives.
As the story moves It shows a typical Bollywood romance story for sometime,which I feared of considering this genre of movies (especially love struggle from start to end).
That’s where I always disappointed with hrithik.his dialogue delivery always disappointed me a lot in some movies and a bit in this trailer of Mahenjodaro.he should try to speak with heavy voice considering this type movies.
Though not confirmed I think if it will not give huge twist and turns and much more entertainment.then being a huge film may a rustom can affect it.
Conclusion:
It has the ability to attract Mass+Class.but not in the way Bahubali did,whose set and location are Marvellous considering an ordinary south Indian movie.that’s the point where I disappointed a huge from Mahenjodaro makers.
It’s very good trailer.as I wrote the negatives which really negligible/manageable except the 1st one.
So the trailer didn’t disappointed me.

Was expecting an epic storyline…and really an honest portal to Indus valley civilisation which will take me back in time….but disappointed to the core…forget epic, this doesnt even meet Gowarikars standard!!!?

Before trailer my expectation for this movie was Sky high and because that the chance for disappoint was higher.
But Hrithik made it guys. It’s just absolutely stunning…..

And I watched What’s your rashee which is too a good performance by Priyanka and has good story,but may be failed due to Harman.but Kehele Hum new jaaneman se I didn’t watched till yet,so can’t say anything about that.and tahg is also has abhsidhel so couldn’t become a big film like superstar made film having hrithik.so stop spreading negativity and concentrate on lultana bhojpuri.
