KICK has picked up in every centre across the country on Sunday. The morning shows were around the same level as Friday or better. Afternoon and evening too, most exhibitors are reporting that the occupancy is high.
Even with insanely high number of shows (Kick is being screened on more than 1100 shows in Mumbai city alone), the average occupancy seems to be 80% plus in the afternoon and evening. The rains in Mumbai were heavy in the morning and that could have had a slight impact on business.
Night shows are expected to slow down a little as tomorrow is a working day in most parts of the country. The holiday for Eid is on Tuesday and that will be the time when the muslim section of the audience come out in large numbers to watch films.
Kick is likely to collect 30 crore or more on Sunday, taking its 3-day weekend total to 84 cr plus.

Well, according to indicine there were rains earlier, but it was not, since am in Mumbai.
However, unluckily for Kick, it has been non-stop raining since Sunday early morning. This will surely affect the business somewhat.
Indicine, you need to check the genuinity of the reports before publishing such news.
The rains are pouring since yesterday though, and it will again affect today.
Tomorrow being Eid, and holiday, and if rains stop by second half today, then expect a surge at the counter in the evening.
Rain would be a big factor, as it is really bad to travel in Mumbai during rains.
As to the review of Indicine, it has again lot of misleading things.
Here is what i felt about the movie.
The movie begins with a bang, and all is well, until just before the interval, and again after the interval, there is unnecessary songs which are just not timed right, and halt the movie’s progression.
The first half has really cool jokes and bit of action, with Salman and Mithun having a ribtickling time.
The second half has the item song of Nargis Fakhri, and to say the least, it was not as mind boggling as made out in the media.
The Jumme Ki Raat is again put at the wrong time and unnecesary, but hats off to Jacqueline. OH MY GOD! She is sooooooo hot. She manages to steal the show just like Katrina with Kamli in D3.
After struggling in the mid part, finally the movie picks up when the motive of Devil is revealed.
It has loads of emotion and action.
I have to say the action is slick, fast and far better than D3. Kudos to the makers.
The other revealation of the second half is the intro of Nawazuddin. This guy will go miles. He is simply outstanding with his performance. Reminds you of Prakash Raj from Singham. His jokes, anger etc., are all pitch perfect.
The second half is the soul of the film.
Salman steals the major chunk of the movie, but there is also ample screen time to his co-stars Randeep and Nawaz to showcase their talent.
As to Randeep, I would say, he should finally be noticed, as he has a brilliant screen presence, which I personally missed since his first movie “D”. He should get more chances.
All in all, we can say a better movie than Salman’s Bodyguard, Ready and Dabanng2.
