Box office Prediction: De Dana Dan
With the opening weekend being most crucial for almost every biggie that releases in Bollywood, De Dana Dan opens this weekend worldwide, amidst big expectations.
Akshay Kumar is yet to score a HIT this year after Chandni Chowk To China (Flop), 8 x 10 Tasveer (Flop), Kambakht Ishq (Average) and Blue (Average) all grossing way below expectations.
De Dana Dan though, with a medium budget and the return of the Hera Pheri team, seems most likely to be Akshay’s first commercial success of the year. Not to forget Katrina Kaif, who is on a dream run off late.
Here’s our box office prediction for De Dana Dan.
- Opening weekend – 22 crores nett gross
- Week 1 Total (IF BAD) 28 – 30 crores
- Week 1 (IF GOOD) 32 – 35 crores
- Overall (IF BAD) 40 – 42 crores
- Overall (IF GOOD) – 60 – 65 crores
Verdict – HIT, irrespective of how the film turns out to be. If good, possibility of BLOCKBUSTER status.

Next year onwards, Akshay plans on cutting down his assignments. He feels the young heroes like Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan can handle that.

de dana dan is releasing in australia tommorow thursday i am going to watch it at 9 pm so i will put my review 6 pm ist thursday and u can read it.
hopefully it will be good entertainer . the running time of movie is 175 min it mean near 3 hrs so we can enjoy more in this movie. bust of luck with ddd

@NAUMAN: I am getting restless want to knw how DDD turns out to be . anyways however bad or good i’ll surely watch de dana dan . becaoz i have noticed many atimes that one’s perception might not match with critics who are always harsh with AKKI movies

Just seen the first screening in Fiji..theatre was packed..Akshay and Katrina sure know how to pull crowds..movie was entertaining..

i think amit you should worry because paa will surely hit ddd hard.
even the trending for ddd is not very good .
but the opening will be bumper but final fate lies in its destiny.
guys i again request all salman fans to pls not got to watch ddd for veer promo because it might lead to the breaking of wanted records for 2009
