Aamir explains why ‘non-commercial’ Dangal releases during Christmas

There was talk within the trade that Aamir Khan’s Dangal is a ‘non-commercial’ film that wouldn’t take full advantage of a big release period like Christmas. However, the actor has clarified that most of his films, apart from Fanaa, Ghajini and Dhoom 3, were in fact off-beat films that did outstanding business at the box office.
