Interacting with the media on his 50th birthday, Aamir Khan confirmed the release date of his next film ‘Dangal’. He also revealed a few other details about the film.
“I am currently training for ‘Dangal’. I am learning wrestling and also trying to learn Haryanvi language, trying to get a hang of the accent”
We had reported earlier that the film will go on floors in April. However, Aamir has confirmed that the ‘Dangal’ team would need a few more days to prepare for the film
“We were supposed to start shooting for the film in April, but we have pushed the film forward by a few months. We need a little more time to prepare. The time I take to prepare for the role, is the time that I enjoy the most. We are starting the film in September.” he said.
When a journalist asked if the film is releasing during Christmas next year, Aamir confirmed the same and added that ‘Dangal’ is a film about a father, his daughters and their relationship.
“Dangal is a story about a father, his daughters and their relationship. There are many layers to ‘Dangal’. The story is amazing, very excited to start the film” he said

2001- Lagaan and DCH (two classics of Aamir who won national awards as best film same year, Aamir wasn’t delivered good films in 2000 but he compensated that with Lagaan and Dil chahta h, nothing more required to him)
2002- No film but a year when Aamir-Reena got separated.
2003- No film, Aamir got Padam Shree Award.
2004- No film,Though Aamir’s Lagaan documentary got the national awards for adventures process of film making.
2005- Mangal Pandey( not a boxoffice success but Aamir comeback and his looks got huge buzz, the film broke every box office opening records that time which is rare for a biopic that too in 2005, Aamir performance was also praise worthy)
2006- Rang De Basanti and Fanaa (both were huge hits and RDB will remain a historical film in Bollywood )

2013- Dhoom 3( Created a dhoom worldwide,first film to cross 300cr gross in domestic and 500cr ww).
2014- PK (First film to cross 300cr net ,400cr gross and 600cr ww, highly critically acclaimed popular film of last year).
Conclusion- Apart from 2000 not a single year of Aamir (when he acted or produced any film) when Aamir didn’t given any significant contribution to Indian Cinema, such a remarkable career of him.A huge salute from me to One and Only Aamir Khan.

I don’t think dangal will be as huge as pk or even chennai express. The content probably won’t be close to pk and the opening of aamir Khan movies aren’t huge. So 200crs max.
Aamir is taking his time and that i really appreciate about him . I expect Dangal to better than PK . Because with PK people had too much of expectations but this time around people will not have crazy expectations . Let us see whether Dangal releases without a clash or with a clash . I will not say whether this movie breaks records or not but if it is a good movie i will be more than happy and that matters to me the most . Best Of Luck for your future . @javed,though I don’t want to say IN A bashing way,but what you said is right.talash,d3 are utter craps while pk is a masala entertainment as well biggest marketing gimmick in the name of RELEGION and this is the amir movie I hate most due to that reason.while though 3i is a huge entertainment pseudo classic movie so I have no objection.
Really it’s a tough task for amir to do a challenging role like MNIK/HAIDER which has strong perfect real life riles with out a zero overrated imagination which perfaketionist afraid to do.he tried in talash but there also he did manipulation.he is habituated of praising his own script and showing others has no idea of choosing scripts.
OK,let’s try with out dhoom/raju with dangal pandey,we’re waiting to see his real star power.

I am a bigest fam of aamir khan. when I was 13 from then my friends are called me aamir khan, as mr. petfect man and for my cuteness. and I always was a big fan of aamir khan. I would see his all movie about 4 times. His 3 ediod, stars on the earth, pk I saw 15 times. and his mann, dch, raja hindustani, dil i saw 7 times. and now i am weating for his next movie dangal. i expect that these movie will be fatafati…..
