Salman Khan is currently the top contender to win his first Filmfare Best Actor award, but the competition gets tougher when it comes to the most prestigious award in the country – The National Award for Best Acting.
In a career spanning 2 and a half decades, Salman hasn’t won too many acting awards, but his performance in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has been received well both by the critics and the audience.
When Salman was asked for his reaction to his fans demanding a National Award for him, the superstar said his National Award is the love from his audience.
“It’s really sweet of them. I really appreciate what they are saying and I have been hearing a lot about this but I think there are a lot of other people who deserve a National Award more than I do.”
“But for me, people have loved the film, appreciated it and even watched it three, four of five times. I think’s that’s the National Award for me, which the public has already given me.” Salman said.
Here is a superstar who is humble & honest enough to admit that there are lot of other actors who deserve national award more than him and he is dead right, nawaz deserves it more than anyone else for his role in ‘ manjhi’.
He knows his limitations & capabilities as an actor unlike one ‘nautanki queen of 3.7 billion subjects’ who feels as if he is doing a huge favour by overacting in his cheap crap movies and is shameless enough to buy those cheap useless awards let alone winning them on his acting merit.
And if that was not enough his fans publicly & blatantly acknowledge that he should have won national awards & Oscars for his torturous acting in craps like ‘ra.1’, ‘CE’, ‘hny’ , jthj & donki’s 1&2 and for every single movie that he acts :D Lol on his fans:D and on the other hand salman fans are wise enough to demand national awards for his performances in only ‘Dabaang’ & ‘BB’ because he was just too good in them, he is almost irreplaceable in these movies.
I don’t want salman to receive the ‘filmfake’ award even if he wins it because these cheap , useless , valueless awards like filmfake, zee cine, iifa etc are only for superficial, artificial desperate over-actors like srk , ranbir or ranveer & not for people’s legends like salman, aamir, ajay, hrithik etc, it would be a insult for these legends if they are given these cheap 2 koudiwalle awards, they are above all these faltu awards , their fans ‘love & appreciation’ are the biggest awards to them, the national awards are the only credible & respectable awards which really add some value & I would like to see aamir, salman, hrithik winning at least 1 national award before they retire..

I think in honest National award for best actor this year must go to Vikram for all his dedication in ‘I’ Tamil movie.
this kind of performance dont deserve even star screen award. forget about National or Filmfare.. But, yes if he can buy one like SRK….If he can buy eye-witness and escape from a crime den buying award is not a big deal….
Salman khan has not won many acting awards. @indicine fine,what are the awards he has won then? To me its only 1i can remember which is best supporting actor FILMFARE?? Kindly tell us which other ones with the exclusion of iifa zee tv
and other irrelevant ones. Akshay is even better because even though he dosent have the guts to win a real award he has best comic and I think may be best villain ek ajnabee even though not deserving. Two of the country’s most overhyped superstar Salman and star akshay. With Bhajrangi bhaijan at least Salman can cement himself among the top notch award holding gang teams of Shah rukh khan Aamir khan Ajay devgan and Hritik. After 26 years Salman is on the verge of grabbing a National. That’s so good.

I’m a 16 year old and a huge huge huge fan of both Salman Khan And Akshay Kumar and haven’t missed even a single film of theirs in recent years in the theatres.However my opinion regarding Amy film is as unbiased as possible as I’m a big movie buff.About the national award,the competition this year is definitely between Akshay Kumar for Baby and Salman Khan for Bajrangi Bhaijaan.Both films were outstanding and were highly satisfying for Amy film lover.However,my humble opinion is that Akshay Kumar in Baby has the edge over Salman Khan in Bajrangi Bhaijaan purely because what Akshay did in Baby was simply masterclass, am unbeatable performance.He sacrificed his superstar image like never before,something that Salman didn’t do for Bajrangi Bhaijaan(though he was undoubtedly great as the lovable Pavan).So I feel that Akshay’s performance was superior and he deserves the award this year.However this is my personal opinion and doesn’t mean to offend anyone.And I will mention once again that I’m a die hard fan of both Salman Bhai and the Khiladi Kumar!

Joker Boys performance in Baby Nipin was wet abit like your lungi old man. Any b grade actor could have played that role n the likes of (wooden actors ) arjun rampal n john anraham could have done a better job. Baby Nipin is an overrated piece of garbage- D-Day was better n with Rishi n Irrfan Khan a far better overall product. Joker Boy was a huge drawback in baby movie- his lethargic attitude/ joker antics put off audiences.
I dont want the National Award to be given to Salman for BB as I still feel his PRDP will be an ever better product so lets wait for that.

Know what I love about Salman Khan he does not do his films for awards he never has and neither does Aamir Khan, because 99.9% the indian awards are rigged and manipulated by certain people in the industry. That’s why we appreciate him, his rewards are not down here on this earth but in the heavenlies where God will honor him for what he is doing outside of his films, it’s better to have God’s blessings than man, for man will bless you and with the same tongue curse you as well. So those of you who feel it necessary to make your sarcastic comments about him, I would like to see all of you get off your backsides and begin to make India a better country to live in, and stop all you hateful, revengeful remarks about others.
does any national award or filmfare award makes any difference or matters to salman khan. does he even require it. salman khan is way above these things. salman khan is one rare actor whose credentials will never be judged on the basis of number of awards he won. it will be judged on the number of hearts he won and connect he had with audience with his simple, natural and charismatic acting. and he will be on top of that list. salman khan does not follow the rule book of acting, he makes his own rule. that’s his usp n uniqueness. he comes in front of the camera, does his stuff and goes. and when it comes on the big screen its magic, applause and whistles! while others prepare, do retakes, patch work and shiver! salman khan has achieved yet again what he set out to achieve with bb that is to win hearts n love of the audience. awards may take a back seat!

@NVS totally agree with you. Salman Aamir Ajay Hritik are real legends of Bollywood. I may include SRK despite not liking him as a person but yes nobody will also doubt what he can bring out. Joke of d year is ppl though only 1 or 2 akki fans repeatedly changing id and putting his name. So finally Aamir SRK Ajay Salman Hritik massive qualitative supersters while ranbir Akshay quantitative superstars. I won’t put Ajays name for National he has 2 already.
