Q. Which Hindi film will be the highest grosser of 2014? - Vashisht (Mauritius)
A. In the remaining 7 months this year, five big films are scheduled to release. Salman Khan’s KICK is likely to beat the current highest grosser (Jai Ho). Then there is Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang, Ajay Devgn’s Singham 2, Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Aamir Khan’s P.K.
Depending on the response and word-of-mouth publicity, any of the those 5 films could go on to be the highest grosser of 2014. Singham is a huge brand in India, and if the sequel is as good as the first film, then it should easily do 150 crore plus. Bang Bang has a good release date, even though its competing against two other films. Happy New Year, as we all know, will be huge. Akshay Kumar’s Its Entertainment and Ranbir Kapoor’s Bombay Velvet could surprise too, but both films are unlikely to be huge grossers.
But if we had to pick one film this year, it would be Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K. This film is going to be absolutely massive, as big or bigger than Dhoom 3. The best director in the industry with films like 3 Idiots and Munnabhai behind him, one of the biggest superstars in the country who has conquered the Christmas weekend.. P.K has everything going for it. We strongly believe, the Aamir Khan – Anushka Sharma starrer will be the first 300 crore grosser of Bollywood.

any movie from superstar could become highest grosser except bang bang because already hrithiks stardom is low and two other big films releasing with it.only Katrina kaifs stardom can save it to become flop.
This year is great as all the superstars having big budgeted universally appealing movies. My bet is ofcourse on p.k. Hny will obviously the highest grosser of 2014 bcz c.e earn 227cr despite bad reviews and clashes. P.k may have a chance if it got reviews and wom like 3i but i think hny will steal this year.

Its definitely between Peekay, HNY, Kick and Bang Bang because of star power and favorable release time. They will definitely do huge in the 1st weekend, but the movie with best response will top the list.
Hrithik fans were barking even during Agneepath and Krrish 3. In the end, they got babaji ka thullu. Same thing will happen with Bang Bang.
Fact is that Hrithik can compete with Khans. He only knows how to manipulate box office figures.
Real competition is between PK and HNY.
I thought BANG BANG had the potential to earn 200 crore, now I have2 change my thought BANG BANG will earn 300+ crore in India 100%.

Agneepath was 4th highest grosser of 2013 wid 121 crores. While k3 was an all time highest grosser wid 244 crores in India .dat was later broken by d3. . Still k3 was 2nd highest grosser. .

If we look at last few years, then usually the movie that has the biggest chance to become the highest grosser doesn’t become the highest grosser (exception is Dhoom 3).
2010: Tees Maar Khan looked like the biggest movie, but Dabangg scored
2011: Ra One looked like the biggest movie, but Bodyguard scored
2012: JTHJ/Talaash seemed like the biggest movie, but ETT scored
2013: Dhoom 3 seemed like the biggest movie, and it did score. (One thing to note is that Eid 2013 was taken by Srk rather than Salman)
2014: PK/ Happy New Year seems like the biggest movie, lets see which movie scores.
Only four movies have chance to become highest grosser (PK, HNY, Kick and Bang Bang) as we all know the likes of Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Ranbir Kapoor has never ever delivered highest grosser of the year. Today there are only four actors (salman, Srk, Aamir and Hrithik) capable of delivering highest grosser.
I am Salman’s fan but I think HNY and PK have advantage over Kick and Bang Bang.
PK: Aamir Khan and Raju Hirani combo and Christmas release
HNY: Srk and Farah Khan combo, top actress-Deepika, Deewali release
Kick: Salman with Eid release, disadvantage is debut director and not so popular actress.
As a Salman fan I hope in 2014, seemingly biggest movies (PK/HNY) doesn’t score and Kick overtakes them.

Indicine again favouring pk but the end of the year it will be another talash it doesn’t have huge dhoom brand,yrf,katrina,abhishek yes even abhishek is a bigger star than aamir at mass centres. So pk has no chance just having raku hirani doesn’t means it will break all records but it’ll be biggest disaster bolyywod has ever seen coz this time the subject is not about education but aliens n shows Hinduism in a poor light. also aamir is playing a gay character with ghagra cholis.. Kick has no chance as ppl already showed salman with flop Jai ho that he isn’t a star anymore.
