A. In the remaining 7 months this year, five big films are scheduled to release. Salman Khan’s KICK is likely to beat the current highest grosser (Jai Ho). Then there is Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang, Ajay Devgn’s Singham 2, Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Aamir Khan’s P.K.
Depending on the response and word-of-mouth publicity, any of the those 5 films could go on to be the highest grosser of 2014. Singham is a huge brand in India, and if the sequel is as good as the first film, then it should easily do 150 crore plus. Bang Bang has a good release date, even though its competing against two other films. Happy New Year, as we all know, will be huge. Akshay Kumar’s Its Entertainment and Ranbir Kapoor’s Bombay Velvet could surprise too, but both films are unlikely to be huge grossers.
But if we had to pick one film this year, it would be Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K. This film is going to be absolutely massive, as big or bigger than Dhoom 3. The best director in the industry with films like 3 Idiots and Munnabhai behind him, one of the biggest superstars in the country who has conquered the Christmas weekend.. P.K has everything going for it. We strongly believe, the Aamir Khan – Anushka Sharma starrer will be the first 300 crore grosser of Bollywood.

Singham is not a huge brand or Singham 2 won’t cross 150cr and as always Indicine saying it will be P.k and you think it will beat Dhoom 3 guys every movie is not 3 idiots or Dhoom 3 but we think Happy new year will be highest grosser of 2014 because Shahrukh doesn’t need wonderful script or huge franchise like 3Idiots or Dhoom 3 just a good movie like Chennai express became huge because King Khan

I Disagree with you. Coz P.K Has a Big clash with Welcome Back. So Chances are Remote. HNY & Bang Bang has the best chance if Clash not Happen.

and for singam returns,,it will cross 150 cr but not 200 cr as kick is releasing near it…

Good question by Vashisht according to me this is going to be a huge year for box office . Every movie has a huge chance to become the highest grosser not only of the year but also all time . Starting with Kick it is releasing on 25th July 2 days before Eid . Personally i don’t think Kick can become highest grosser but Salman is coming back on Eid so it can be huge and Salman’S 1st 200 crore grosser . Hny is also looking huge releasing on Diwali it has 2 open weeks if it has content it can be very big . Peekay or P.K. is by far the biggest contender for highest grosser it is releasing on 19th Dec and i have heard that Welcome Back has been preponed to 5th Dec so it is a good news for P.K. Apart from these three Bang Bang has a huge chance because it is releasing on 2nd Oct which is the biggest weekend of 2014 . 2nd – Thu – Gandhi Jayanti . 3rd – Fri – Dussehra . 4th – Sat . 5th – Sun . 6th – Mon – Bakri Eid . Hrithik is coming back in action, romance and dance . Ajay can get his 1st 200 cr grosser with Singham Returns if the content is fabulous and it can hold up well even in 2nd and 3rd weeks . Expecting 150 Cr from Holiday if content is very good .
