Romesh i agree with u man its a silly movie n a real drag …..its all hype which will go down quickly …srk has been riding on the luck n support factor for too long …he must taste reality now …..anything he does isn’t the best of the best ….

when mnik starts there comes the name of-bollywood hungama…………i think taran has been paid……he gives 4.5 to mnik and is promoting in full form,he gives rann a 3 and veer a 1.5!!!!!what a stupid!i think vijay galani forgot to pay him!!!!yes i am a hardcore salman khan fan but i dont hate and go against srk like some srk fans do against salman….i did see mnik on friday,i liked it,srk was superb but the movie surely doesnt deserve a 4 or 4.5……..and the audience reaction was mix bcoz it was nt entertaining,it will surely nt work at single screens….i actually went to see srk and he proved he is a great actor…..srk is srk and………………….salman is salman…………….u see no one gets that huge reception and whistles like salman i mean no one even srk and thats the fact accept it…….srk,salman,aamir all are unique actors they are superb some like salman more,some like aamir more,some like srk more…….but i still dont understand why everybody always target salman i think he is too popular among the masses and so they want to kill his popularity they say ishqiya opened well bcoz of its music veer’s music is superb but the radio stations hardly play veer’s songs……..veer was salman’s dream and so all targeted it so that salman will be broken………srk and aamir work with famous directors and banners and so critics are always with them…….its salman who works with others its salman’s loving and helping nature that has affected his career but its the same thing i and the aam janta of india love him…………..this is all i wanted to say frm so many days i have my exams iitjee,aieee….. so i couldnt this is my only comment will come back in may………so everybody enjoy bollywood love it but please dont try to drag salman or any others career srk,salman,aamir have done bad films salman has more i accept it but i loved him in those too i think that is what we call a ‘fan’ but plz dont show such hatred…….and indicine u put mnik @ 1st place in most awaited movies and the starting of ur review doesnt make any sense……..
I was determined to watch MNIK the first day but the theatres were housefull so I couldn’t get a ticket.
It was saturday and the show was also housefull.I managed to get a ticket and the movie was digitally screened.The ads of DLF IPL in theatres was very entertaining.They also showed a ad of BSNL 3G Generation ahead.After about 5-10 ads the movie started and here is my review:
The first half was a short but it was nothing but a introduction.It only showed Srk moving in the streets of San Francisco meeting lots of people and entertaining them with his AUTISTIC behaviour.
The cheesy contest that mandira tells him to show her a place which show doesn’t know in San Francisco is nothing but promoting San Francisco as a tourist destination.
The way Rizwan Khan suddenly tells Mandira to marry her is nothing but a kind of non sense.
The good things about the film were:
1.Portrayal of Muslims in a positive manner is applauadable.
2.The recitation and referral of Suras from Quran by Shah Rukh Khan were heart touching.
3.The mosque scene was well written.
Overall a good film giving message of Hope.One time watch.Targeted at Multiplex audience mainly.
Most language used is English in the film, so not suitable for masses who like Pure Hindi films.
I was a Shahrukh Khan fan , but sorry to say brothers, Now I doubt Sharukh took the help of Shiv Sena to popularize this BORING movie.I almost snooring during the half time.
Guys, I saw this movie friday night show.. the viewers attendence was about 40%
now here is my review:
The movie has many pitfalls, some are listed below:
1) Sharukh is shown suffering from disease, but his austin like acts are looking poorly imitative.. interistingly he is shown participating in functions, gives speech, does the routine works,etc .. very unconvincing, hard to beleive.
2) Their son getting killed – is the worst ever picturisations.. its very violent to see the kids killing another in a soccer (football) playground.. and for no significant or strong reason .. ( director tries to convince, its because he is muslim, but its very poorly themed and picturised .. very bad really)
3) He gives statements in Hindi to Americans present in a social gathering and they were singing and dancing afterwords (as if they have understood the ‘Hndi’ very well) .. its very unconvincing..
4) Kajol is shown with terrorist alignments… which is very bad, since childrens and woments are least involved in terrorist activities… it was really not required to be shown in movie.
5) Lastly, the sentence “My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist ” is repeated too many times.. you would struck with feeling, if the muslims are eally terrorists … another directorial failure.. it seems like director is trying to defend and protect this Khan only (you will loose interest as the message is not conveyed properly for all muslims)..
This is very unfortunate to say that this highly hyped movie fails to deliver at every aspect.. the story seems to be revolving around 9/11 only, acting wise the stars have nothing to do but to narrate the story..
The emothional quotient is temporary as the story treatment is poor and leaves no impact due to hard to beleive sequences/picturizations.
This movie might only be liked by sharukh fans only, and others should skip this flic or may see it in fast forward mode from local dvd shop ..
now , i can say his name is srk and by proving his good acting in mnik

my four stars is purely dedicated to message of the movie with srk act of rizwan khan
as there were many drawbacks but i just want to remind one of the biggest drawbacks that lost film impact
that is when they were showing original george bush as a president after period of 9/11
when srk try to meet mr president that makes me appeal
but film lost its impact when duplicate of barreck obama had acted in climax of the movie
if they were showing george bush original then they have try to make original obama in movie also …
if he had not agreed to act or part of film…
then character of george bush should also be duplicate then it will make it as commercial bollywood film
but by promoting president of america and then showing one of them original and one of them duplicate
that lost the impact of the film and lack it out even in international standard as well as domestic standard
so, this is the biggest drawback of mnik and there were many but ignore it by concentrating only on message of mnik with srk act
i am asking indicine and my colleague one questions from last few days that ,
is mnik had that much impact to break ghajni or 3 idiots records ?
i got the answer by watching mnik on 12 feb that is mnik cant appeal to bring universal audience only srk fans can watch it min 2 two times or max per there wish but it is not that kind of movie like ghajni or 3 idiots or even veer that universal audience can watch mnik more than 1 to 2 times
overall verdict of box office collection : ghajni and 3 idiots records is impossible to mnik
yaa , but it will equal to veer overall verdict of below average overall but hit in some territories worldwide …except mnik may get huge success in some part of overseas like uk due to srk good image there.

mnik could be the masterpiece but no yaar its lack i am expecting more but its let me dissapoint as a whole movie except srk good perfomance

so today therer will not be huge collection for MNIK
overall MNIk will be below avg

srk’s publicity stunts :
1) america security check-very cheap publicity stunt by him he said because of his religion he was checked…? how disgusting man…u brought in sensitive issues for ur film???? that happens it happened with salman ..he never asked n made it a big issue…like srk…
2)shivsena issue -it was a publicity stunt from both srk and shivsena….
from my point of view we should have relations with pak players and artists for maintaining peace among both..
if srk wanted same why kkr took shane bond? they didnot get any pak bowler ? if he had taken pak players
and said it then no issues…but without taking single player u have no right to say it….
sena also wanted to come in action to downplay raj thakarays challenge during elections…but matter was abt to settle wen srk came to mumbai…sena said srk should clear his view …we r not against his movie but his statement….but how can srk aggree to this..he wanted publicity…for mnik he refused….and matter turned into violence…as always media was eagarley waiting to praise srk…..
it collected around 8 crore on day 1 and media is saying housefull 100 % opening…veer had got 7.2 crore n they were downplaying veer..
on other hand salman is really a human being….
despite worst reviews veer got 45 cr from india and 10 crore overseas…it s a hit….this is star power without making a single contravrsial publicity stunt(he did publicity but it was very sober..horse riding etc.not like srk using media) this is called truely indian …at his home they celebrate Eid,Ganesha chaturthi..Christmas…etc..this is religion and real social message to country than srk’s social msg through film (using cheap media managed publicity touching sensitive issues like hindu-muslim)
look aamir he publicize his movies but in sober manner ..he travelled entire india for 3i its good…no harm to country… if u want to promote movie promote like aamir khan..if u want to be really a good human being wihe heart of gold then be salman khan…if u wan tobe selfish and haughty be srk thats why salman and aamir are good friends…why both not on good terms with srk? think it…

look aamir he publicize his movies but in sober manner ..he travelled entire india for 3i its good…no harm to country… if u want to promote movie promote like aamir khan..if u want to be really a good human being wihe heart of gold then be salman khan…if u wan tobe selfish and haughty be srk thats why salman and aamir are good friends…why both not on good terms with srk? think it…
so hatsoff to Salman BHAI…from this srk-sena issue…i m feeling really proud of myself that i m fan of Salman Khan – Really Veer Human Being !

i am not fan of aamir but it seems a good movie
but it is below expectations

overall story is that srk is autistic and he loves kajol who has a child but killed bcoz his surname is khan
so srk just goes to president of usa to tell him all khan are not terrorist
so despite of good msg
it laack humor
and i just sleep thrice in between the movie

even not upto level of fanaaa
