Happy New Year has dropped by around 10 – 20% at centres that we tracked today. Rajasthan circuit collected Rs 79 lakhs on Monday, which has gone down to Rs 64 lakhs on Tuesday.
A few centres have remained steady with 10% drops, but others have witnessed bigger falls. East Punjab is down, Gujarat is helping Mumbai circuit remain steady, in the Mysore circuit cracks began to appear as early as Sunday, business in West Bengal circuit is steady but on the lower side.
Overall, the film should collect around 13 crore on Tuesday as per early estimates. All India total of Rs 137 crore in 5 days is excellent, but the trend hasn’t been good.
Second weekend could well decide if the film will eventually cross the 200 crore at the box office. There are no releases in the next couple of weeks – Rekha’s Super Nani releases this weekend, but that film won’t impact Happy New Year.
The SRK starrer will collect around 160 crore in its first week, out of which the contribution from the Hindi version will be around 154 crore.

hny is a worst film ever after raam jaane for srk. rj become above average becuz of ddlj flow. producer of this movie is richest actor in india and he get 40 crore fee from per movie so he can reduce his fee and able to give entertainment tax for collection what he manipulated. he just wanna be highest grosser thats y he did that. i am sure opening day was also manipulated but after offitial anouncement if they change they will be in trouble. but truth is truth that hny is second worst movie of srk after ramjaane.
@indicine: If you are saying that it would cross 160 Cr mark in its first week, then HNY is bound to cross 200 cr. Why are you using “probably”,”If” and “May be” for that??second weekend will be 40 cr + for sure making overall collections as 200 cr + ( if your prediction for first week 160 Cr turns correct) and then it will comfortably beat CE/Kick and may go one step ahead to touch 250 cr mark.

The way it’s collections are falling, it will be difficult for HNY to collect in double figures from Wednesday onwards and then it will be a huge task for the movie to cross 200 crores.
Farah khan, please stop making movies, leave SRK and let him work with some good directors where he can show his acting abilities. We want him work in the movies like CDI, Swades, DDLJG, MNIK, KKHH etc.
Watched d movie n really enjoyed as it was all of srk brand….. But don’t understand y, ppl are all after damn sk collected dis, ak n hr collected dis etc, etc…. N if ppl enjoy d movie then, it’s upto d tym 4 the film to sustain well in the Long run. It’s not that I don’t watch movie of sk, ak n hr n ak as well.. They r indeed d bestie of d Bollywood so far I guess… Just try to respect theirs work… And try to have a good 2 n half to 3 hrs of good time….. Cheers !!!

Its not indicine wrong.. Itz red chillis using krrish 3 calculator. But they shud knw people r not blind to believe whatever collections they post. Red chillis is adding 3 cr every day lol. If they keep adding lik this in the end hny wil keep doing 3 cr daily all this year lol..

Official fig : 137 cr. Wher has that 13 cr come frm? Telugu n tamil around 5 cr. 13 cr collection means its almost one territory collection. Even adding lik this they wil not beat kick.

according to me,
week 1-160 cr
weeks 2-60-70 cr(doubtful for weeks 2 as there are holidays and i dont know the word of mouth)
week 3-10-20 cr( shokeens come but it will not close the collections entirely)
so hny will collect 250 cr.anything more is bonus.i m not sure of weeks 2 but 50 cr is minimum as there are 2 holidays.

How can the first week collections be 160 CR? Do you mean to say that HNY will collect 24 CR in next two days?Impossible. Indicine please predict correct figures.
As far as difference in producer and trade figures is concerned, difference of 15-20 CR is fine. However such difference should only appear in first week figures as majority of business is done in first week.
HR movies are the perfect example of manipulation. Bang bang difference almost 30 CR and better to not talk about krish 3 collections.

15 cr on monday nd 13 on tuesday means drop of between 10-15%..
i think the trend is fair enough..not bad or not too good..
coz all big films tend to drop 10% on each working day so overall picture says that hny is having a fair enough positive response from general audience coz if that would not have been the case,,hny tuesday drop would have been more than 20% nd even monday figures would have been down by more than 65% from sunday.
here it is not the case.
nd comparing with chennai express nd yjhd,,hny is on similar track in terms of drops..
first week is going to bu huge..
2nd week should bring at least 40 cr at any cost as chennai express did 43 cr in 2nd week nd that too with competition from outimd so hny should cross 40 cr at least at any cost..

Also if TZP struggled to make 100crs..then as per your logic..even Dhoom 2 failed to make 100crs..cmon man..ur comment on TZP lacks sense..as it came in 2007 when a movie could make only a maximum of 90crs at that time..moreover TZP made 55-60crs despite the clash with Welcome..which made 70 crs..so whatever it is..please compare HNY with the other 100cr earners since 2008 rather than pre 2008..

i just found some facts from indicine site itself.
while chennai express made 12+ on monday
11+ on monday..for chennai – mon tue were normal working days nd it made combined 23+ from 2 days..
coming to yjhd indicine report..
yjhd had no holiday on weekdayys means all 4 were normal working days nd it made 44.7 cr from mon to thursday..
now coming to hny – it has made 15 on monday nd 13 as per early estimates on tuesday means i thas made 28+ from 2 days combined..
now looking at chennai nd yjhd,,hny is still ahead if we consider 2 normal working days nd here hny is having 28+ after making 108.8 in first weekend so i dont found any thing bad about its trend..
it is diff thing that chennai had national holiday on thursday so it took the complete advantage but yjhd nd hny both are having same working days..
so to have the collections on level of yjhd,,hny needs 16 cr more from wed nd thursday combined..nd that is quite easy as per the current pace so ultimately hny is having similar trend like chennai nd yjhd..
picture will be clear once 2nd weekend comes..

I think enough is written. We have seen the fate in 5 days despite bumper opening. Please allow Srk fans some privacy to overcome this trauma. As I predicted & expected a Diwali release cannot be a top grosser of the year. I had predicted 190-210 crs lifetime. Lets see whether HNY achieves it or not ???
