FAN has collected Rs 18-19 crore on Sunday at the box office, taking the 3-day collections to 52 – 53 crore net – as per early estimates (official collections will be published in the morning).
Multiplex business did show decent growth on the 3rd day, especially at metro cities where the occupancy for the noon and evening shows was pretty good.
Monday now becomes all important for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer. Tickets at multiplexes are sold for a cheaper price during the weekdays. For example, PVR Juhu in Mumbai was selling night show tickets for Rs 380 for the weekend, the same show ticket for the weekdays (Monday to Thursday) is 30% cheaper at Rs 270.
Since the film is performing mainly at multiplexes, the drop in ticket prices will have an impact on business.
Ideally, FAN needs to hold to around the 9-10 crore mark on Monday. This would give the film a fair chance of not only recovering costs, but going on to become a decent grosser.

- Friday – 19.2 crore
- Saturday – 15.4 crore
- Sunday – 18-19 crore (approx, early estimate)
- Total – 53 crore (approx)
I am srk fan. Watched all his movie. But never had that kind of feeling/apeal for Fan. Haven’t watched it yet . Movie is getting good word of mouth though.
This will not be in category of jai ho and talash .
Raes and don3 have more mass appeal. Will get big opening for sure.

Was hurt to read that comment of yours which clearly questioned the need of making such a controversial movie (the interpretation u later gave honestly looked different than the actual statement) plus picking out flaws in SRK movie choices along with Salman fans when everyone else was busy doing the same. Probably was expecting better from you at a time when everyone else was busy in putting the movie and SRK down. Wasn’t expecting support and praises for the movie but at least not a negative comment.
Was feeling really down and vented out all on you in that comment. But I guess I got it all wrong interpreted.
Well sorry again for that very harsh comment. U have all the right to bash or not to bash SRK or the movie and in either scenario that comment of mine was really uncalled for.
Not in my nature to hurt or trash people but dont know what happened to me at that time.
