Dilwale Total Box Office Collections in 1 month

It was on this day, exactly a month ago, that Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale released in theatres. The film took an excellent opening at the box office, collecting Rs 21 crore net on its first day and sustained well enough to cross the 65 crore mark in its first weekend.

It was after the first weekend that the momentum shifted to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, which was the first choice for the multiplex audience during the Christmas / New Year holiday weekend.

Dilwale finishes will domestic lifetime business of around Rs 148-149 crore, which will be a little lower than the 4th highest grosser of 2015 – Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Dilwale is Shah Rukh Khan’s 3rd highest grosser after Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

In the overseas markets, Dilwale has crossed the Rs 160 crore, joining My Name Is Khan to become one of the few films to collect more overseas.

The worldwide gross of the film stands at Rs 375 crore, which is comparable to what a solo film like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo collected during the Diwali weekend.

  • Dilwale should released on 25th dec even if Dilwale v/s BM clash happen in 25th dec instade of 18th dec then the story would be different the main fact is Dilwale failed to get Holiday advantage

  • @xzone – diwali weekend not holiday in oversis but new year and crismas holyday over the world. xzone to lolzone ho gaya!!!

  • @Balika ji Prdp in overseas – blockbuster ! And in india superhit overall Superhit ! Sach bolne ki himmat rakho beti :p

  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan easilyy had the highest footfalls in 2015 and also the highest this decade. Another Salman khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was second on the list and was the only other film to be above 2 crore. The top ten footfalls of 2015 are as follows.
    1. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – 3.55 crore
    2. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – 2.28 crore
    3. Bajirao Mastani – 1.86 crore (expected)
    4. Dilwale – 1.55 crore (expected)
    5. Tanu Weds Manu Returns – 1.50 crore
    6. ABCD 2 – 1.22 crore
    7. Welcome Back – 1.09 crore
    8. Gabbar Is Back – 1.08 crore
    9. Baby – 89 lakhs
    10. Singh Is Bling – 83 lakhs

Shame on You Indicine, you are comparing PRDP Diwali release with Dilwale Christmas release, Diwali solo is equivalent to Christmas Clash.
and second this list is showing many stories. like,
PRDP had lower ticket rates compared to Dilwale
    PRDP 2.28 – 212
    Dilwaale 1.55 – 148
so stop saving big humiliated SRK

  • Here is the reason why everyone love nd Hate SRK

    ….
Saala hater confuse ho gaya… Domestic collection pe haase ki.. .. Oversea collection dekh ke sharmaye…

  • One plus point of Dilwale :-
Dilwale didn’t do well in multiplexes but its open the door for Sharukh movies in single screens as #KAALI. (Dilwale done super hit business in all single screens of India). After Mithun Chakravorty (Pyari Bahna) the 2nd bollywood actor is so famous as #KAALI.
Forget Raj, Rahul etc., Now only #KAALI

  • @Indicine always try to protect srk and try to proof that srk is bigger than Salman Khan, how could you compare PRDP with Dilwale,

    1) You know that the major difference b/w the two is the genre, PRDP is a family movie and before release even you said that the only drawback in PRDP is the genre b/c youth won’t accept the family movie of Suraj B in today’s time whereas Dilwale has the favorable genre (Masala Movie) which is accepted by every type of audience.
    2) You know that Diwali is not a even a festival in overseas compare to Christmas and New Year and don’t forget that Dilwale got 3 Open weeks or I can say 4 week because Wazir did not make any effect to Dilwale (b/c Dilwale runs in SS)
    3) And there is a huge difference in the star cast too, In one hand Dilwale is a Multi-starrer movie where each and every star cast is big (SRK, Kajol, Varun, Kirti, Boman Irani, Sanjay Misra) on the other hand in PRDP has only Salman Khan (One Man Army) because the rest of the star cast are not successful (Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arman Kohli).

Beside all these flaws PRDP collected 65cr more in India only and worldwide also it is over 400cr. And 200cr in India is not an easy task that’s too within a gap of 4 months (BB release 4 months ago which also collected 321cr in India and WW 625cr) I hope you know this.

If you want to compare than compare Dilwale with Jai Ho because both are semi-hit, but still I say that Jai Ho is better than Dilwale. Because Jai Ho is a non Holiday release, with new Director, new Heroin, new Production House, No other supporting star cast accept Tabu, with much less ticket price (almost half than Dilwale) and release in 2014 (almost 2 years ago) and still it collected 116cr which is only 30cr less than Dilwale.

But you won’t tell all these things, you just write one line that Dilwale collection is comparable to PRDP which is solo release, why didn’t you mention all these factors, I know I am not an expert but I also know that all these factors play an imp role in Box Office Collection, tell me if I am wrong.

The fact is that today SRK needs big Star Cast, Big Banner, Big Director to make a big success in Box Office whereas Salman Khan Don’t need all these things, he is a One Man Army.

And I am not surprise if you won’t publish my comment as you did earlier, but atleast during moderation process read my comment and try to learn something, as a bollywood site it’s not good to always protect only SRK and try to proof that he is best (which he is not) you never take a side of Salman Khan like this during Jai Ho release or PRDP release. I hope you post my comment so that other should also know the difference b/w PRDP and Dilwale which you fail to explain.

  • indicine tum hamesha SRK ko bachane ki koshish kyun karte ho ?
jab news that ke SRK Ranveer se clash haar gaya tab tum Lowest Grosser of Star (useless post) daal diya wo bhi biased article.

I have a question. Why you always try to save SRK ?

  • I am not denying a fact that Dilwale did a huge collection in Overseas which is really amazing b/c SRK has a huge fan following in overseas (and SRK-Kajol comeback make a huge impact there), but how can you compare a Masala Movie with a Family Drama in today’s time, and it’s not good to always compare.

  • one thing i want to notify all Bhai fans…how they dig their own grave yard…hahahaha
before filmfare…bhai fans were confident Salman wili get film fare award and all the popular awards for BB , even some idiots trended national award as well…LOL
They made huge positively to favor Bajirao as masterpiece thrash diwale blah blah….
now karma bites…inturn bajirao sweeps all the popular awards including best actor Ranveer singh now they are bashing filmfare….and saying Bajirao is avg product few are sayinf BB is 1000% better than Bajirao..hahaha asking questions to indicine hahahha…they all ruin thire dreams…

isko bolte hai jaisa bowge waise katoge…..now next BB never happen. salman is awardless actor…hahaha..

now i can produly say, .dilwale in over seas All time block buster, India Hit…over all super hit…

  • look at these king kong fans rofl first they beaten by ranveer then failed to cross 150cr and they are claiming srk is megastar rofl rip srk fans and logic

  • Hahahahahaaa…excellent article indicine..thanks alotttt for this..even after so many obstacles Dilwale has collected better than prdp which had a solo release. Clash, too much negativity, protests everything didn’t stop Dilwale. That’s why he is called King Khan..

Bite your hands and eat them you haters..

  • Undoubtedly DILWALE IS A HIT now and prdp is a flop.look at desperate lallutards who are talking prdp’s footfall is more than DILWALE?DILWALE recovered the budget and prdp failed to do do.still it’s irony indicine new forced to to menyion it super hit while it’s not a even a naw semi hit, lol.

DILWALE’S underperformance is is due to many reasons but still IT overcome.unlike jail ho,talash, prdp despite new of solo release with too many screens becomes a big debacle.ROHIT SHETTY surprised all this time, that’s what WE all can say.and new CLASH is not a big deal for KING KHAN.HE defeated almost all in clash even bm too in OPENING+OVERSEAS+WW.several factors+Rohit Shetty’s below average content is responsible for this.

  • Dilwale vs Bajirao Mastani

    India – BM
    Overseas -Dilwale
    Worldwide – Dilwale

    Dilwale 2 BM 1

Bachna Ae Haseeno vs God Tussi Great Ho (2008)

    India – Bachna Ae Haseeno
    Overseas – Bachna Ae Haseeno
    Worldwide – Bachna Ae Haseeno

Bachna Ae Haseeno 3 God Tussi Great Ho 0

SALMAN KHAN LOST TO RANBIR KAPOOR’S SECOND MOVIE IN CAREER 3-0 IN 2008 AND THEY ARE SAYING THAT SRK LOST TO RANVEER SINGH BUT IN REALITY HAS NOT LOST YET IN WORLDWIDE IN A BOX OFFICE CLASH. SHAME ON SALMAN..

  • Overseastill 4week- 166cr(25+million) and still running
The reason it didnt work in india is release date(lessscreen,no of shows in multiplexeswere 1/2 of bm,protestand more importantly clash with superwomand histronic movie BM)

  • Some Amir khan fans are not digesting srk’s overseas success calling its srk-kajol pair but forgot to check Amir has tasted first blockbuster in overseas because of her in form of fanaa Some are even giving credit to stronger exchange rate but forget to check collection in dollars.
Overseas collection don’t matter for Amir salman fans when srk gives blockbuster in overseas.

@indicine dilwale crossed 170 cr (26 mn) overseas not 160.
fourth week collection shows the kind of wom BM carrying still dilwale did 145cr which more commendable than Bhai solo starer prdp, jai ho etc.

Combined collection of dilwale and BM on Xmas exposed the fake stardom of Amir khan in overseas who is hiding under Xmas holidays.
Bhajirao mastani could have done 8 mn in USA if not clashed with dilwale. USA is totally depend on good content movie. Lunch box, piku, bajrangi bhaijan, twmr, pk, BM all have done huge in this territory.
Dilwale solely ran on srk’s shoulder else it could have sank like besharam, tmk etc.

  • 150cr india gross-206cr (gross add56cr)
    Overseas-168+still counting
    Total-375cr
    Prdp overseas-94. 14.1million
    India-209 gross-303 (grossadd94cr)
    Total-398
Gross addition45%for prdpbut 37% for dilwale why?
Any way there is no comparison for srk stardom in overseas till now
Salman has started his stardom through bb in overseas before that his wouldnt gross 10million in overseas fact is a fact accept it

  • No other star other than SRK promote their movies so heavily outside India……..reality/talk shows in UK and UAE…….Comparing with PRDP is itself a joke because of no story and stars except Salman Khan………….. but Dilwale had SRK,SRK-Kajol pair,Varun Dhawan( leave Kriti Sanon)……..

So many mindless SRK fans commenting!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • V Shantaram@,
    Katti batti-26,50
    Dilwale- 149 crore
What will you say about this now?
You are yourself know yo6r comment is really stupid

  • @arjun fan, you IDIOTS stop jumping.
Dilwale footfall only 1.55cr while PRDP footfall 2.28cr. If you compare with Jai ho and dilwale that too good Jai ho footfall 1.43cr and dilwale footfall 1.55cry only. See idiot similar footfall Jai ho and dilwale. And you said Salman Khan honeymoon over lol. Let me laugh @arjun fan.

  • At last “The Team Which Never Failed” has failed so badly that even me never expected…
