Dilwale Total Box Office Collections in 1 month

It was on this day, exactly a month ago, that Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale released in theatres. The film took an excellent opening at the box office, collecting Rs 21 crore net on its first day and sustained well enough to cross the 65 crore mark in its first weekend.

It was after the first weekend that the momentum shifted to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, which was the first choice for the multiplex audience during the Christmas / New Year holiday weekend.

Dilwale finishes will domestic lifetime business of around Rs 148-149 crore, which will be a little lower than the 4th highest grosser of 2015 – Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Dilwale is Shah Rukh Khan’s 3rd highest grosser after Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

In the overseas markets, Dilwale has crossed the Rs 160 crore, joining My Name Is Khan to become one of the few films to collect more overseas.

The worldwide gross of the film stands at Rs 375 crore, which is comparable to what a solo film like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo collected during the Diwali weekend.

  • @Sht which fan base are not having double standard, I think srk fan base. When srk fans said Talaash as flop and disaster its OK for you but when Aamir fans does its double standard.
The height of double standard can be see by you if you go to pre release article about Dilwale, and now.The height of double standard in front of you.
Regarding Kajol has just coincidence, don’t you ever seen srk career highest grosser in overseas since Ddlj. Kkhh,k3g,Kank,Mnik & Dilwale. Except Dilwale all were used to all time grosser in overseas. You will see 5 of were Srk-Kajol, and 4 were directed by Karan johar. Srk no doubt collected huge without them but still far from the biggest there. Regarding festive releases, his other big grossers like Dtph, mohabbatein, veer zaara, oso etc were diwali releases. His films like CDI,paheli, swades were hits only. I definitely think him biggest star in overseas when those film becomes top grossers of him there.
Aamir didn’t has blockbusters without Christmas & Kajol but the fact is srk is still behind Aamir 6 year old 3i overseas business. He atleast at the top there. BTW the overseas verdict are exceptional. Rnbdj was blockbuster with 8.5 million there but Ghajini was only superhit & JA was blockbuster with less than Ghajini business. Aamir right now don’t releases his films outside of christmas except Talaash which was also superhit there.
Overseas collection are still unimportant for many of us the reason of that Bollywood is far behind in terms of huge audience draw at overseas. Still films are struggling to cross 30 million $ there. While srk was king at overseas.

As an Aamir fan I would be pleased to see Aamir films at top on domestic market, if they top in overseas than it is bonus. But at the end Headlines are always like Aamir pk is top grosser in domestic, regarding overseas grosser of it always come secondary everywhere. Got it.

And I think you didn’t see my reply if your top 17/20 list of srk which were hit/bn/atbb but not about grossers.

  • I like only Srk in Khan league , even his underperforming movie collection is very good despite clash with my Brahmin warrior . Nobody can deny that he is king of overseas . He is baap of overseas . This is really called as super stardom of self made Superstar .

  • If Dilwale had faced Bhaubaali it would have been a disaster and ended the lifetime under 100 crs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol
