Dilwale takes record breaking opening in UAE GCC

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has taken a record breaking start in UAE GCC,  recording the highest opening of all time. The film has collected around 3,300,000 dirhams (a little less than $900,000 as per estimates) on Thursday. The collections are higher than Hollywood film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens which has collected around $500,000 – $550,000.

So how big is the opening compared to other Bollywood films? Check out these numbers:

  • For Phantom , the best performing overseas circuit was UAE-GCC, where it collected $850,000 in its lifetime. Dilwale has collected more in a single day.
  • PRDP collected $640,000 in UAE GCC on opening day.
  • Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected $300,000 on Day 1 in UAE GCC. Business affected by Ramzan.
  • Varun Dhawan’s last film ABCD 2 collected $130,000 on Day 1
  • Tanu Weds Manu Returns was phenomenal in the Gulf, Day 1 collections $150,000
  • Varun’s Badlapur collected $135,000
  • Rohit Shetty’s last film Singham Returns collected $205,000 on Day 1, which was also the highest opening for Ajay Devgn in Gulf
  • Salman Khan’s Kick collected $293,000 on Day 1

  • 3 Idiots with only 1400-1800 screens grossed more than 200 crs so stop talking about screens. with three weeks in hand and 1 more holiday weekend I expect atleast 250 crs. below 250 crs on this lucrative period is disappoint. before the release of movie u all were barking that pk’s record is in danger so what happened now ? now why u all expecting lower numbers ? finally by removing 100 crs from last years Christmas released movie PK (340 crs) for clash factor we should at least predict dilwale to collect 240 crs. below this dilwale is disappointment for bollywood in 2015 bcz business pundits r expecting at least 320-340 crs from both films.

  • Indicine, please dont publish such articles about dilwale, otherwise, ultron suckmaniac and tiger the real rat will have heart attack, have compassion on them, only publish negative articlesabout dilwale)

  • @Star Wars, 3 idiots was an extraordinary movie that PK could not even match up to. And what about the PRDP debacle ? LOL, widest release for a movie and it creeped past the 200cr threshold. You expect 250cr from Dilwale with lesser screens and a clash. Clearly you have no sense of the trade

  • and the joke of the millennium is :- Lallu fans talking about content.
This is my humble request to all bhaitards please don’t be so classic otherwise your bhaijann will go bankrupt.

  • this is called stardom which is amazing and dream for others.
Srk my jaan lots of love for you, haven’t watched dilwale yet but will enjoy the night show of Saturday and evening show of Sunday with my hero and idol SRK.
    SUPER ROCKING KHAN.

  • @xzone then what about the srk fans who spread negativity during aamir’s film releases? We have beared srk and Salman’s fans negativities for many years, so how can we keep quiet all the time? You think only srk and Salman fans have the right ti bash other stars but no one has right to pay back? Isn’t it a hypocricy?

  • I heard some criticism from those guy who protest against dilwale ?? they give negative comment BT I want to ask them if they boycot the movie than how they can give the review without watching it ?? plzz dear get a life

some haters say that story is not convincing bt what about pk & BB ?.. was it convincing that an alien came to the earth and comment on religion ??? than in the climax all media did patch up of anushaka and sushant who live in Pakistan????

and in BB how can anyone easily digest border scene and climax so

stop spread negative without watching it and for god shake don’t say it not convincing bcoz I found it more convincing than other

  • and the bhaitard said that dp is the mean reasons for SRK bo success…..What can i say hatters gonna hate…..alas!!!!!!!!!!!! i am happy about the results of DILWALE nd it is true bm gonna wash out time for celebration guys??????
