Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has taken a record breaking start in UAE GCC, recording the highest opening of all time. The film has collected around 3,300,000 dirhams (a little less than $900,000 as per estimates) on Thursday. The collections are higher than Hollywood film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens which has collected around $500,000 – $550,000.
So how big is the opening compared to other Bollywood films? Check out these numbers:
- For Phantom , the best performing overseas circuit was UAE-GCC, where it collected $850,000 in its lifetime. Dilwale has collected more in a single day.
- PRDP collected $640,000 in UAE GCC on opening day.
- Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected $300,000 on Day 1 in UAE GCC. Business affected by Ramzan.
- Varun Dhawan’s last film ABCD 2 collected $130,000 on Day 1
- Tanu Weds Manu Returns was phenomenal in the Gulf, Day 1 collections $150,000
- Varun’s Badlapur collected $135,000
- Rohit Shetty’s last film Singham Returns collected $205,000 on Day 1, which was also the highest opening for Ajay Devgn in Gulf
- Salman Khan’s Kick collected $293,000 on Day 1

saw the movie Dilwale. How should I start, was very terrified by seeing some really bad reviews by raja sen, indian express, the hindu, india today. And in the initial 15-20 minutes, I thought my worst fears are coming true and the movie will prove to be a dud. But then the master SRK took over, we shift to bulgaria and the movie starts to unfolds with some really sweet moments between kajol and srk. The twist just 10-15 min before interval and exactly at interval was really good. But I already saw that coming as I went in after reading lot of reviews which had hinted towards such a twist already. (DAMN!!! I would have enjoyed more without knowing that details). Till interval, I was still in a bit of confusion whether neutral audience will enjoy it like i have enjoyed the moments between SRK -Kajol. But post interval, the real fun starts. I dont why u mentioned post interval is a bit drag . The post interval section is filled with some real comic scenes which brought the house down with laughter [ “kya apke ghar me chintu he” , ramlal -pogo love story through television were really just insane ]. Family audience is going to love this movie for sure. This movie provides what it promised. Entertainment Entertainment Entertainment !!!!!!!. Rohit Shetty is just awesome. He knows exactly what to provide at what time and how much to provide , the perfect dose of comedy, action, drama. sanjay mishra, boman, varun sharma, two freinds of srk and specially jhony lever (take a bow !!) were just brilliant. Varun overacts in initial few scenes but was better in the latter half. Kriti looks pretty and No words to describe the incredible chemistry between SRK – Kajol. At one moment , I just felt to stand up and shout that I love u both so much. Why cant you be together in every movie which you do.
Loved it. You will love it for sure. Watch it. Stop spreading fabricated negativity. watch it, Take your families along. You will never regret. just awesome.!!!

Dilwale is looking to do unbelievable in Pakistan despite clash.. Film is looking sure to cross day one numbers of Jawani Phir Nahi Ani which came on National Holiday and had small film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon against it whereas Dilwale has biggie Bajirao Mastani as it’s competitor..
Film had 210 shows all over Pakistan and is packed every where.. Be it Super Cinema Lahore, Capri Cinema Karachi or Cinestar Multan.. Film is running around 90-100% occupancies and now film is challenging record day one numbers of Furious 7 which had collected 2.69cr approx on day one aided by IMAX, 3D and solo release.. Film will easily cross Jawani Phir Nahi Ani’s 2.07cr and Dhoom 3’s 2.11cr becoming 4th film ever to do over 2cr on it’s opening day in Pakistan..
Film has massive advance for Saturday and Sunday and shows are increasing at many places which means film is heading towards Weekend record also.. Eveready had bought film at very huge price but with record day one start film is set to be plus for them as Christmas and New Year will help a lot in coming days..
Shahrukh interview on MBC morning show was a masterstroke. Everybody watched and loved it. And it’s really hard to find tickets for the whole family this weekend ,so people are going to BM as a second choice .
This is exams week in gulf area .It could have been bigger.
Its the fact that no other actor can have the level of SRK in overseas even HNY collected 100 cr !
BM will be below average or Flop at india but disaster outside india for sure !

Also, I took my time out to check Dilwale Book My Show Ratings. The one’s who have badly rated the movie have written nothing about the movie at all in their reviews, all they have written is ‘SRK is pakisatni’, ‘boycott Dilwale’ blah blah blah which makes it çlear that they haven’t even watched the movie. Bloody ?2 people.
No one will be able to stop Dilwale.

2) Rohit Shetty delivers the movie of his life . Entertainment wise , its d best of 2015 .
3) The last few minutes are extraordinary .
4) Varun-Kriti r good in their roles .
5) Sanjay Mishra & Johnny Lever ensures the comedy quota .
6) Certainly the best music album of 2015 beating HAK .
7) The sets of Bulgaria & Goa r lavish & looks grand .

1)Boman Irani & Varun Dharma are about fine .
2) The editing could have been crisper & a few scenes from the second half could have been cut .
3)It has everything but lacks the soul of a true film .

It has turned out to be a disappointing day for me as I tried to catch Dilwale on a couple of occasions but unable to get tickets.
Tried at PVR Pheonix and INOX CR2, shows sold out already.
Have booked the tickets for tomorrow Morning show at PVR now.
Excited ! Tomorrow the collection should be more than 28-30 cr for Dilwale.
