Yash Raj Film’s Dhoom 3 has become the first film to gross more than ? 500 crore worldwide. The film has ? 269.5 crore net in India (India gross 350.35 crore) and added around Rs 156 crore from the overseas markets to take its worldwide gross to around ? 506 crore.
Dhoom 3 has comprehensively beaten Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express which grossed ? 419 crore worldwide, a record that was set during Eid 2013.
The Aamir Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer has also become the highest overseas grosser of all time. Ahead of 3 Idiots (? 125 crore), Chennai Express (? 120.5 crore) and My Name Is Khan (? 105 crore).

Why the hell SRK fans are not accepting that AK is bigger then SRK, why u lungiwala fans giving silly reasons of hicked ticket price, more screen, no competition etc, first of all ticket price of CE & D3 are same, D3 Imax version ticket price is high and there are around 5 Imax theatre’s only in India. Coming to screen count every big heroes like Salman, Hrithik, Aamir, Shahrukh, movies are releasing in more screen’s crossing screen count of previous movies such as CE screen count was crossed by K3 & K3 was crossed by D3, and Jai Ho might release even bigger then D3, so giving reason of more screen is not correct, movie should b finally good to generate revenue’s.
If your SRK fans logic of high ticket price and screen count is taken into consideration then CE had realesed almost thrice the screen count of 3Idiots and ticket price also doubled when compared to 3Idiots, what was final result CE managed to cross 3idiots with just 6cr marjin after 4years with more screen’s and high ticket price.
Coming to competition no hero dare to compete with Aamir and loose collection of their movie, so Aamir get no competition, whereas no one fear in releasing their movie in competition with SRK.
