Chennai Express has collected Rs 10.48 crore in its third weekend, with fantastic collections on Saturday and Sunday. The third Friday collections was more than doubled on Sunday!
The Rohit Shetty action-comedy went past 3 Idiots on Friday and has now also crossed the 210 crore mark. The film will also benefit from the Krishna Janmashtami holiday on Wednesday and is likely to finish with lifetime business of 220 – 225 crore net, giving it a distributors share of around 130-132 crore!
Chennai Express is likely to be the highest worldwide grosser in the history of Indian Cinema (once again beating 3 Idiots) and could be the first film to collect Rs 400 crore worldwide.

Boi is trying hard to keep 3 idiots records intact. Boi is anti srk. First they did with jthj now ce. Differences r very high around 20 cr betn producers nd distributors numbers for these 2 film. They want to prove their comentory right. They said besharam will break opening and lifetime records. They became joke when ce broke both records. There is 7 cr diff for YJHD and no difference for talash, 11 cr diff for ett and 6 cr different for dabang2. Boi is under reporting collections of srk’s movies just trying to prove that they r more authentic using srk’s name.
BOI also announced that by the end of 4th weekend CE will cross 3 Idiots. Yuppeeee….

@hrithik, salman will never make a film with good script. Because he always afried that if he make film with a good script than it will turn into a flop & he will lost his stardom what he has at present. He will never take risk because he is coward.
@gaurav. Boi is big manipulator. They want to prove what they said in their comentory. Regarding jthj they have adjusted 4-5 times in a week. First they report 91 cr against 98 cr of tarans and komal nahata’s after 2-3 days they came with 82 cr. within 120 cr difference was 20cr. Why don’t they adjust any single penny from YJHD, Talaash, rowdy rathod, ready etc. there will b 20 cr diff in ce collections by end of its run and will not allow to touch 3 idiots figure. They want besharam to b first movie to cross 3 idiots.

I am a big – big fan of SRK, but do not agree with your comment on Salman.
Tere naam was one such intense one sided love story in which he acted really well.
Veer was good too. Mental (Jai Ho) seems to be a powerful story. I know salman has some short comings in his acting skills but he is not coward. He has really worked in some of the bad scripted films and made them Blockbuster. I think this is the right time for him to do some experment. He his in the best phase of his life now a days whatever he is touching is turning into Gold.
I will again say… Acting wise he is not even in top 5.

Boi is paid website guys…their website was down for 2 days during ce release…they were confused or forced by aamir khan or salman ( less probability becoz he already in a mess of court verdict). The tingu egoistic aamir khan might be behind this. One advice to aamir, first prove ur stardom without doing any south remakes or by copying somebodies story books. 3idiots has many subplots by many characters which made the movie super hit n not for your acting or stardom alone….otherwise talaash or dhobighat might atleast touch 100crores if u r a superstar. Now dhoom3 again a success franchise…anyways if the script is not good then u will see tbe fate of akshays latest onceupon time in mumbai dobaara.

Agree with you, they change their figures quiet often. But as per them (Question / Answer section) they change their predicted figures when they receive official figures from all circuits. In case of some circuits actual figure comes as late as 1 week so they correct it later.
May be they are lieing but other are lieing too. We have to trust some one and I trust them.
And yes, it’s a shame on BOI, when some one asked which movie will break ETT opening record and they said Besharam. I am sure Besharam won’t even break YJHD record.

one masala movie he did and result is in front of u….now, u can see that why a certain crapstar has sticked with this genre and giving blockbusters….let him do a movie like “jthj” or “don2” and then i wud see, whether that movie is collecting even 50 cr or not…

1. Initially BOI reported YJHD collection was on par with producer collection but later they slow down down YJHD collection so that it doesn’t overtake ETT collection. Why did they did so ? Bcuz they want to throw SRK out from top 2 position. But later when everyone started debating Ranbir dethrone Salman. Then they put an Q/A article in which they said salman is no.1 followed by ranbir and srk.
2. As of now a miracle happened. Chennai express weekend is 90 + crs while YJHD and dabangg 2 weekend is 60 + crs. That means SRK starrer crushed Ranbir and Salman starrer not by just 5 crs, not by 10 crs, not by 15 crs, not by 20 crs, not by 25 crs but but by 30 crs!!!. Now if BOI says salman is no.1 then ppl will laugh at them therefore they have to say Salman and Srk is equal in India.
3. Boi is the first site and only site to say Salman is no.1 in India when Dabaangg became blockbuster
4. Boi said Salman is no.1 to no.10 inspite of knowing that salman films is about masala flavour always releasing during holiday period with 3 or 4 open weeks min
5. For ett and dabaangg 2 there isnt much different between boi figure and producers figure but for srk starrer be it JTHJ or now CE there is a big difference.
6. Boi always compare Indian collection with total budget.’as they know Srk movies are high budget bcuz SRK movies do very well in Overseas so they devided Indian collection and overseas collection. So that they can show Srk movies are underperforming. They are successful in their strategy till now but Srk showed he is king every where
7. Boi reported ra one’ indian collection is 115 crs but actual collection is 125 crs including dubbed version. They did it bcuz they want to show ra one collection is below Salman’s Ready collection.
8. Dabaang did 140 crs which is 60 Crs less than 3 Idiots then how come they given Atbb to dabaang?
Well I can give many many many reason why Boi is Salman favouring site. sharukh khan had huge following in south india. Look at ra one dubbed version collection. Most of the south indian movies find difficult to earn 10 crs but Raone just dubed version collected 10 crs that shows Srk star power in south india. In south india multi plexes are very less except few places like bangalore, chenai and Hyderabad. If anyone take Sharukh fan following in India, it,s way way more than salman. iam sure Boi next strategy would be to divide collection between south and north india and compare with total budget like they did with Indian and overseas collection. And moreover giving less collection compare to producer figure dont make any site genuine

@soroop, agree with you bro.. And one more thing which i am noticing about boi regarding ce boxofice collection is that they are not giving the datas as per daily basis. They are just telling the total figure at the weekend or after the week.. And then after few days they give the teritorial breakdown in which further few crores of total figure gets missing. As for example in 2nd week of ce they gave the friday collection and after that only weekend collection and at the end of the week they told the 2nd week collection as 40 crs.. But today again they gave the teritorial breakdown in which 2nd week collection was 38.5 crs. And in coming days i am sure that ce lifetime will be around 205 crs as they said, but again they will give the teritorial breakdown in which ce lifetime will be less than 3 idiots. And at last regarding the verdict, that site will never declare ce as atbb even if it crosses 3 idiots. Such a fake site.
@Soroop regarding the ATBB status of dabangg, it doesn’t matter if it made 60cr or 100 cr less than 3I, fact of the matter is what was the budget of the movie, if it makes 3 times it’s budget that’s 200% profit . A 50cr can be a ATBB if it was made on budget of 5cr

@sameer. They are doing so bcuz they can manipulate with films collection. Boi said in an article few days back that they get accurate figure only after a week. They often says such things to show readers that they are genuine. When Taran adarsh get daily figure then why can’t they?. Some site started showing less figures now, even few trade analyst started showing less figure. Every one want to prove people that they are genuine site/trade analyst by using this trick that to show less figure. Funny part is that they are the people who blindly followed Taran adarsh untill recently and now that Chennai express released so for the sake of publicity they started following Boi. If Boi gives 190 crs then they will add 1 crore and say 191 and some will add 2 crs to it lol. And we idiots trust them.

@rasull. There is a huge diffference between blockbuster and Atbb. sholay, HAHK, DDLJ made 30 times, 40 times more than it’s budget. And ur talking abt 3 times and 4 times more!. Yeah now there is piracy and shortage of audience compare to earlier times. But still dabaangg made with a budget of 40 crs generated 140 crs while 3 Idiots made with a budget of 35 crs made 200 crs. But not to forget Dabaang released 1 year after 3 Idiots and moreoer 3 idiots expanded the business market like hell. That also benefitted for dabangg bcuz after 3 idiots almost all big films started netting 100 crs. Suppose Krish 3 collect 300 crs then busiess market will expand and all films will strt netting 200 crs on regular basis. Ofcoz dabangg is a blockbuster but my point is there is a huge difference between blockbuster and Atbb. All time blockbuster shud be huge huge monstrous hit like HAHK, sholay, DDLJ or atleast like 3 idiots. @rosull. First of all nobody knows budget of any movie. If dabaang is atbb on the base of budget then ce, rab ne bana di Jodi, barfi chakhde, tare zameen par also atbb. Budget, cost price selling price all these issues r get highlighted when srk’s movies about to release. Y only srk’s movies sells on higher cost despite his earlier movies labeled as underperformer. Distributors, exhibitors r not fool to buy srks movies on high cost if his earlier movies were really underperform. Haters spread high nos for srks movies as far as budget is concerned so that they can easily tag it underperformer considering it cost. After all this is business & everybody wants to earn.
