Buddha Hoga Tera Baap is the other release this weekend and the Amitabh Bachchan starrer brings back memories of the Bachchan era back in the 70s and 80s. Today, there are many stars who can guarantee a huge box office initial – Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan – are all capable of bringing in audiences in hordes to theaters. Back then, Amitabh Bachchan was the biggest of all, the first actor to get Rs 1 crore as his acting fee!
For Bachchan fans and those who grew up watching his films, Buddha Hoga Tera Baap will be a treat. It will be a tribute to a legend, the biggest star in Indian cinema.. respected by one and all in the industry.

i agree with mr roy after making this crap he has lost all the prestige that he earned .. mr bachchans resume is not flattering ..with only a few nteworthy preformances .. his best was during the manmohan desai and praksh mehra days ..after that he has only been strugging to reach the surface always on the verge of drowning and drowned many projectas ..including this one .. i too have been a fan of his and did lot of dance numbers from his films in my college days notably from silsila but with this kkudaah film he haes erased all of that and replaced it with repulsion.. i think its the office of bachchan which has been visiting the net early on after the release to spread the lies about the film doing well.. actually its the reverse .. there is bad mouthing of the film all over ..the youngsters havent ever heard of him.. in my house also none of my kids wanted to see this old man.my fan base too has changed towards the younger lot cos they are more honest with their work and do not do cheap masala films to stay afloat.. all in all a wasted effort of big b ..please do not watch this film and try to save as many as you can ..we will talk about the ststure of bachchan later ..but as of now please bomb this movie so that big b learns a lesson of a lifetime .. i repeat please ask people to stay away from this bullshit

The film depicts fine performance of the legendary Mr. Amitabh Bacchan, the promos & songs looks really impressive. We are confident, the film would be a good entertainer and would be appreciated by gentry and class audience.

We feel dis-comfortable by viewing to box-office reports. The film is up-to mark and quality wise it is A-class. The box-office yard stick to judge a fine venture is sometimes weird and it does discredit a good movie which is not fair.
We are very sorry to say that Lousy and mediocre films like Ready ruled the box-office which is a pity.
BHTB is far better from production point of view as compared to Ready. Ready only had one good song in beginning and rest of the movie was a overblown mess of over numbered characters who grossly over acted in Ready. BHTB on the other hand is a sophisticated piece of film making with every department of the film doing their part with dedication and control.
The songs performed by Big B had combination of his yesteryear films which is blended superbly in the remix.
The sound editing of BHTB is very good and surround field delivers a grande panoramic effect and should be appreciated by audience.
The film BHTB can be said to be an action film but has fine ingredients of humor and emotions.
There is not a dull or dragging segments in the film, mainly due to decent editing which has been done to boost the pace of the film.
The second half runs at very fast pace with plot unfolding right at a place where the viewer is expecting the most.
The film BHTB also reminds us of the AB films made in 1970s and 1980s and it is good to see Mr. Big B return with same vigor accentuated with modern film making techniques.
There are very few stars in Bollywood who despite their age / seniority still looks elegant /graceful and Big B is one such clear example, there is no doubt about it.
Raveena Tandon has not much to do, but she is still ravishing and we wish to see her in more detailed role rather than a short spark.
We think the audience and movie pundits should express the actual merits of the film and avoid floating misleading or false statements which may cause stir and it should be also be appreciated that wrong film assessment should come to end, and sub-standard films should be discouraged on all fronts.
On the whole BHTB is an action – comedy film, worth watching and worth spending your valuable time and money. We would rate BHTB **** 4/5. Highly recommended. The Cinema Circle, Faisal Kazim, Naeem Ahmed, Keisha, Natasha AliTannaz, Iqbal Kandawalla.
