The collections of Bang Bang have dropped further on its first Saturday (Day 3) at the box office, with net business of 20.1 cr (including all versions). The problem for the film is the mixed to negative reports that it’s carrying.
The mass centres in India like C.I and C.P Berar have continued to gradually drop, while business in the Mumbai circuit never hit the top gear on any of the three days, the Gujarat / Saurashtra belt opened to average occupancy on Thursday, picked up on Friday, but dropped again on Saturday. Exhibitors here say, the Pre-Diwali and Navratri period has affected business. Delhi/UP is holding up better, but Mysore and other south circuits have been witnessing drops too.
The 200 crore mark is certainly out of reach now and it remains to be seen if the film can cross the 150 crore mark. The next two days are holidays, so Bang Bang has to grow on Sunday if it has to recover its huge costs.
We have said it before, we say it again – A star can only bring in audience in the first 2 or 3 days, after which the film relies almost entirely on word-of-mouth publicity. Jai Ho had mixed to negative reports, it failed. Ditto for Ra One. Films like Krrish 3, Kick and Chennai Express had good to mixed reports, which is good enough for a big star film released during a festive weekend with increased ticket prices.
The biggest impact of negative WOM in recent times was Besharam released on the exact same day last year. The film collected nearly 20 crore on its opening day because of Ranbir, but finished with lifetime business of less than 60 cr.
With a extended 5-day weekend filled with holidays, sky was the limit for Bang Bang which was expected to be one of the biggest grossers of the year and the highest grosser of Hrithik’s career. Unfortunately, a weak screenplay and poor direction has let the film down, big time!

good collection..but not trending well..need big jump today..i was hopiing 180cr but now 180 also looking difficult..hope they will recover there inevestment atleast..
It is due to CLT20 Final b/w chennai & kolkata. Also due to durga visarjan.collections will rise today but by how much we have to see.

any big star can attract audience for first weekend but than content is the only king.
at the end – word of mouth is the most desirable weapon that can make u winner.
i found bangbang average coz expectations were high after seeing teaser trailer.
ya but good thing is that bangbang reviews are still average but not like besharam..i think besharam was having worst reviews i said worst reviews coz even himmatwala sustained on weekdays on lower end.
any ways bangbang should cross 150 mark easily at this pace.anything above 175-180 will be seen by time only.

how can u compare salman with hrithik.jai ho had debut actress worst director,worst trailer,worst music where as bang bang has good music,katrina kaif,hollywood action directot ,grand production value whatever jai ho collected it was only and only because of salman ra one had also hit music,great promotion,a grade heroine,diwali release so just get the fact clearly salman is way ahead of others.
Why the heck every hr starrer also comes with a list of excuses-pre diwali, pre dushehra, pre eid..these things don’t happen for Khans which show khans r miles ahead of anyone.poor hr fans pls believe he’s not that good that u expect him to be.??

Why so much negativity about Bang Bang? The srkfans and salmanfans(only haters of HR) love each and every movie of their star. But at BangBang time,they have suddenly started barking about content. If people can watch CE,kick,d3 ,there is no problem with bang bang. The critics who have given 2.5 stars to Bang Bang, had given 2 stars to CE eg anupama chopra. Those who gave 1.5 to bb, had given 1 to CE eg.Shubhra Gupta and Raja sen.
The thing is that many people haven’t watched the movie yet and calling it crap or bad or disappointing.

The admins of fb pages are continously trolling Bang Bang. But they had given good status over a crap like R Rajkumar. I have told it earlier,telling it again BANG BANG IS Not That bad! If you have liked ce,kick etc,you will like Bang Bang too.

At the time of bang bang, everyone are getting too harsh towards it. If someone has given 4 stars to kick , he has to do 4 for BangBang. May be unnecessary comparision with haider affected the reviews and wom.

Critcs rating doesnt effect a movie.Reality is movie is not that good and Dummy actress is useless.All salman movies were bashed by critics and movie which they praised turned out to be his lowest in thse years which is jai ho.

the sky high expectations which it generated with its teaser/trailer backfired due to it being low on content.
all the action scenes in the movie were already showcased in the trailer. so those who went inside to find something new and exciting were let down by the movie which resulted in negative wom.
if it does not touch 200 crore than it will be a huge setback for hrithik who believed bang bang will be biggest success of his carrier. lets hope it covers at least the unmanipulated collection of k3
