The collections of Bang Bang have dropped further on its first Saturday (Day 3) at the box office, with net business of 20.1 cr (including all versions). The problem for the film is the mixed to negative reports that it’s carrying.
The mass centres in India like C.I and C.P Berar have continued to gradually drop, while business in the Mumbai circuit never hit the top gear on any of the three days, the Gujarat / Saurashtra belt opened to average occupancy on Thursday, picked up on Friday, but dropped again on Saturday. Exhibitors here say, the Pre-Diwali and Navratri period has affected business. Delhi/UP is holding up better, but Mysore and other south circuits have been witnessing drops too.
The 200 crore mark is certainly out of reach now and it remains to be seen if the film can cross the 150 crore mark. The next two days are holidays, so Bang Bang has to grow on Sunday if it has to recover its huge costs.
We have said it before, we say it again – A star can only bring in audience in the first 2 or 3 days, after which the film relies almost entirely on word-of-mouth publicity. Jai Ho had mixed to negative reports, it failed. Ditto for Ra One. Films like Krrish 3, Kick and Chennai Express had good to mixed reports, which is good enough for a big star film released during a festive weekend with increased ticket prices.
The biggest impact of negative WOM in recent times was Besharam released on the exact same day last year. The film collected nearly 20 crore on its opening day because of Ranbir, but finished with lifetime business of less than 60 cr.
With a extended 5-day weekend filled with holidays, sky was the limit for Bang Bang which was expected to be one of the biggest grossers of the year and the highest grosser of Hrithik’s career. Unfortunately, a weak screenplay and poor direction has let the film down, big time!

anand deserve applaud for the hard work he has done and i go with 4.5/5 and anyone can say what he wants but he won dare to denied that bang bang change the face of Indian cinema for ever and you won’t like any action film that doesn’t have any content of bang bang even h/wood knows that that’s why they are criticizing it because bang bang shows that b/wood are one step behind them
for me kick is very good movie what i don’t like in kick is how salman treat his love interest that’s it

Except for Sunday..there was no clean holiday any day in this long weekend..One logic i want to explain to all hrithik haters and indicine is that if film has negative word of mouth it should drop by another 10% on Sunday from Saturday collections…if Sunday collections are more than Saturday collections than WOM is positive. With negative word of mouth no film can exceed the collections of its previous day. So lets wait and see for Sunday & Monday collections…before writing it off…
I loved the film and m waiting eagerly to see Monday box office collection of Bang Bang… Monday has been declared as holidays only in few states, not in all. So if monday collections are in range of 18-22 crs i will be happy and with confident i can say it can reach 200 crs…if the collections drop below 15 on Monday than i would say it will end up around 150-160 crs…Tuesday to Thursday even if it collects 25 – 30 crs..that is good.
@@@ Babaji ka something just wai8 for HNY first weekend U will knw where Ur HR stand….And yes agreed with the my frnd who said HNY will Collect 71 cr on 1st day…Because In India it has totally potential to to Cross 40cr and overseas it realising on 23rd oct so On 24th Oct total collection will definetly cross 80 cr worldwide….Lets wi8 and watch….

I am a srk fan. But i think nobody should spread negativity against any film. Whatever u give will come back to u. Films collections dont depend on spreading negativity. It depends on wom of people watching in theatres. 71 crores in 3 days with compition from critically acclaimed film is very good . We should wait till first week is over.
