Bang Bang continued its good run on its second day at the domestic box office with net collections of Rs 24.08 cr on Friday. The film has held up well in most parts of the country with drops in the range of 10-20% on Day 2.
Friday was a holiday in a few states for Dusshera, while Saturday will be a holiday in other parts. All three days, including the opening day (Gandhi Jayanti), were not pan-India national holidays like Independence Day.
Bang Bang has now collected Rs 51.62 crore in 2 days and could cross the 100 crore mark on Sunday if business picks up. Monday is also a holiday in some parts of India for Bakri-eid.

I was bashed by fans of other actors while reviewing their favourite star movies such as kick(2/5),Dhoom 3( 2.5/5) and even holiday(2.5/5). Many asked me whether I would be equally honest for Bang Bang or not. Here is my review of Bang Bang.
The story in Bang Bang is so simple and silly. Rajveer Nanda steals kohinoor and he gets targeted by a group of people. You will get some twists in the 2nd half. Writers could have done a better job with it. More suspense as well as twists could have been induced. The first half was just okay with some suspenses and the second half is better with some twists and more stunts.
Bang Bang looks stylish. The cinematography is brilliant. The wonderful locations of different countries make it beautiful in terms of looks. The stunts are awesome. The action scenes of F1 car,fly board and even some others were outstanding. I was surprised to watch such wonderful stunts in b’town. The fighting scenes look good,but you will feel like it’s a bit overdone sometimes. But it’s definitely not a let down.
Just like many action movies of B’town such as kick and D3 , it has also some senseless scenes. But the amount of it is still not too much. The comedy scenes were good. Some of the romantic scenes lack good chemistry,although some were extremely good.
The main flaw in the movie lies in the decent direction and poor screenplay. Siddharth Anand made it a disturbed rom-com with the same kind of scenes between lovers like in Salaam namastey and Tara rum pum. I wonder what was sujoy ghosh doing while rescripting the original one! A lot of things could have been put. The stunt director has done a good job. Some emotional scenes could have shot in a better manner. Editing wasn’t pathetic,but still could have been better. The costume design is good.
Music is really good with hummable songs. All the 4 songs are well-composed and beautifully picturised. My personal favourite song from the album is “uff”. The background music is quite suitable and superb.
And finally, it’s none other than Hrithik Roshan who carries the whole movie on his shoulder. He was brilliant throughout the movie. Acting,physique,looks,dance everything were perfect about this man. The supporting casts had small roles,but as it’s demanded by the story,it’s not a problem definitely. The female lead, katrina was decent to irritating in many scenes. In some scenes, she has overacted badly. she has tried her best,But unfortunately she failed. She was looking extremely cute and hot in the movie. I wonder how could the director choose such an actress for the role even after knowing that it requires comedy and intensity at the same time!
Over all, Bang Bang is a must watch for stunt-lovers. if you love watching action thrillers like kick and Dhoom 3(which were also average in terms of content), you should go for Bang Bang. It won’t disappoint. But contentwise, it’s a “good-looking disappoint” where actor shines,but movie finds itself average. Watch Bang Bang for the brilliant performance of Hrithik Roshan, amazing stunts and beautiful cinematography. Direction and screen-play, who are decent at best, lack the wow-factor. So in my final words,Bang Bang isn’t a unwatchable movie as it offers some good things too. But,it’s n’t great either. It is an average movie because it could have been better than what it is now. I am going with strict 2.5 stars.

honestly Bang Bang is a pretty Okay movie but awful marketing strategy (read : revealing the trailer a week before the release) & hampering the orignal plot (read : the kohinoor diamond & other shitty changes made to the script) have hurt the movie.
Even if they had made a replica of ‘Knight & Day’ .. things should have worked well.
Gotta feel bad for Hro. I hope atleast turns out to be ‘average’ & manages to recover its costs.
If you watch movies for fun,entertainment and enjoyment,then go for Bang Bang.

It was Vijayadashmi and Ram Navami yesterday, so collections may have been slightly affected. Occupancy was still good, it is going in faster rate than Krrish 3.
Today’s morning and afternoon shows’ should be lower than last two days, but it will pick up in the evening and night shows as tomorrow is the first National holiday for this film.

@Deba, agree that our predictions were way off, but there was tremendous confusion regarding the number of screens and also October 2nd was almost like a working day. It wasn’t a holiday like Independence Day. Government offices and even some schools were open this year.
