Bang Bang continued its good run on its second day at the domestic box office with net collections of Rs 24.08 cr on Friday. The film has held up well in most parts of the country with drops in the range of 10-20% on Day 2.
Friday was a holiday in a few states for Dusshera, while Saturday will be a holiday in other parts. All three days, including the opening day (Gandhi Jayanti), were not pan-India national holidays like Independence Day.
Bang Bang has now collected Rs 51.62 crore in 2 days and could cross the 100 crore mark on Sunday if business picks up. Monday is also a holiday in some parts of India for Bakri-eid.

@navin: i agree that making a movie is not easy. But when did HR get bashed for remakes? Agneepath was critically acclaimed. BB was bashed.
And as for review, I have to be strict as I have been giving strict reviews from 6-7 months.

Secondly,in d3 neither the revenge plot was looking good nor action scenes as every time they used some c.g effects in bike.BB also has a revenge tale much better than d3.Neither there was good comedy in d3,BB has…only aamir was saving grace.
I can also say that u r changing ur colour,coz u gave 4.5 to d3(which it do’nt deserve in any way) and here u are bashing BB..which is quite comparable to D3 for most if not better.

@nipun lol you remember that I had 4.5/5 for d3 and that because I loved that film while watching but you don’t remember I had given 4.5/5 to K3 which I watched in theater, for bang-2 you will hardly find my comments on bang-2 related post since this year as I wasn’t excited for this film and never said that I will see this. Even Kick I given 3.25/5 because I expected more entertainment than I got after the superb trailer. and K3 avg critics rating on Indicine meter is 61/100, d3 64/100 and kick 59-60/100 but bang-2 43/100. I think you are intelligent enough to feel difference, as far as disappointed when you own giving 2.5/5 for bang-2 and critics also that its surely a disappointment for critics like you, I only making fun here for those who finds logic in d3,kick but not in bang-2, holiday etc. And whenever I see any film I got the response what I get after watching the film,that’s why I never bashed CE even though I bash srk because I like that film.

As far as bang bang 2nd day collection is concerned above 24 cr is very good.
I will agree you in case when bang bang doesn’t collect~28 cr on Sunday (full holiday )

@sky: i don’t remember whether you gave 4.5 for k3. You gave 3.5, i guess because at that time you were aks. And i bet when you will watch bb,you won’t be disappointed. I mean how can a guy be disappointed with Bangbang if he has already loved kick,holiday. . And in indicine critics ratings, it’s 61 and 64 for k3 n d3 but in a site bollymoviereviewz, k3’s average rating is higher than d3 . Bang Bang’s rating is on par with holiday,jai ho,s2 as far as people like rajeev masand,shubhra gupta and anupama chopra are concerned jus less than kick. At the time of bang bang, i feel critics were too harsh. Had it got a solo release without clash with a critics friendly movie,it would have got better reviews. Some critics have given it too low than it deserves. Btw, the main thing is that you haven’t watched it and telling about bang bang.

Whatever collections it is getting are due to HR n holidays the movie may go Singham Returns way after Monday (monday is bakrid) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes both d3 andk3 was enjoyable for me and I can even rate 4/5 for both of them.
I never bashed bang bang that one should skip this film, or it is 2.5 or 2/5 from my side, I just reacting on the reviews given by critics and I found around me.
@babaji may be you found revenge or comedy below par in d3 but it not in my case, I know how average hrithik in comedy so I can predict how good comedy could be in bang-2,but you mostly pointing illogical thing in response to your favour by calling d3 bad or average but given 4/5 for illogical story line which I assume as per review of hr fan and others on comment section.Except hr no one in the film got appreation neither by any critics or fan still film comedy is very good great joke.Look at the history of any film a film can be touted well made when there are 3-4 great performances and you joking 4/5 for bang-2 with illogical plot.And questioning me.Great.I also given 4/5 star to holiday and SR while I am not a Ajay or Akshay fan. But you pointed d3 and kick only.
@nipun I don’t given my rating on the basis of bollymovie reviews or Indicine. Its all about how much good response a film got from critics and there are hardly much diffrecen between d3 or k3 review whatever source you want to take.

Finally i made it to Bang Bang today watching the 4 PM show in a multiplex in my city..After watching the movie today i just feel like telling you all that i feel very much proud to be a HR fan. He is a megastar. Every time he brings something different to the plate..and this time too it was in most stylish character ever seen in a Bollywood film till date….and i do know that Hrithik will not try any similar role for next 5-6 years….
While going to the movie i was just hoping that the movie should not be so boring to face a heavy fall of collections during weekdays like Kites did…
Fortunately the movie was so good and i liked it very much…I even felt the audience pulse which was very positive for the movie…There are so many positives in the movie e.g.
Positives:
1) Hrithik is in his charming best, the most stylish actor you can see in bollywood. He did his bit and the role was a treat for HR fans…
2) Stunts – never seen before in bollywood
3) No dull moment in film – which is very positive sign…
4) HR-Katrina Kaif jodi was very good…
5) Songs were all very good and well picturised – HR is a King in Dance…
Negatives:
1) Danny and Javed Jaffery wasted.
2) Screenplay could have been better.
Finally the most satisfied part of the movie was in the ending when about 90% of audiences waited till the last step of HR dance in Bang Bang song when the names of star cast and crew rolled out… Which gives a impression that audiences enjoyed the movie till the last without waking up from their seats. Altogether i will give a good 4 out of 5 stars for this movie.
I was shocked to read the reviews of those critics who gave good rating to Kick, CE and D3, but did not feel BB to be good. I totally disagree with them. I am ready for debate as to hear what they felt good about Kick, CE and D3 that they did not find in BB. All movies lack logic and don’t try to prove that as a point.
Now talking about collections i don’t think it will face heavy fall in the weekdays post Monday. The word of mouth is very positive. I think collections on weekdays will be in range of 10-14 crs…I believe that the movie can touch 200 crs. Due to bad reviews from some of critics who look like are biased towards Khan’s, the movie will not be able to go post 250 crs.
To all those who haven’t watched the movie yet…go for this… Bang Bang is a good entertainer….
@sky: okay, glad to know that you loved K3. My point is that one shouldn’t say whether a movie is bad or disappointing by only seeing critics reviews even before watching it. I had earlier asked Shubhra Gupta(indian express) whether it deserved around same rating as kick,d3 or not. She told me that audience always see the rating,but reviews tell everything,not ratings. Again, she added that action thrillers in india are never perfect in bollywood now.

When u gave 4 stars to SR and the film went down very quickly,then everyone else’s choice was pretty different from u,but here u tend to agree with other’s choices.
@Thullu : ETT still better than Bang Bang for me coz many scenes from BB looks inspired (i wont call it as copy) from ETT. Hrithik giving chase on roofs in Shimla, initial conversation between HR & Kat, HR playing a spy, bike chase. Dabangg 2 was bad but entertainment wise it is better than BB. BB is wrapped in high action & style but overall lacks Entertainment value which is the main USP of any masala or action movie. I wont blame Hrithik for this but makers n director. They promised moon to audiences through teaser sadly it turned out an Amavaas !!!!!!! I am disappointed too coz BB carried very huge expectation n it didnt even meet half of it. Feel sad for Hrithik !!!!!!!!!!!
Just back from BangBang… and what the hell was that? Except for couple of action sequences (F1 car and one in the water)… there is nothing good in this movie… this is probably the worst first half ever for a movie… in the last 30 mins .. they tried to make some sense out of the movie.. but not sure.. if you can repair the damage caused in first 2 hours…there is definitely going to be no repeat audience for this movie….
If Dhoom 3 was bad.. BangBang is worse… With every actor making these kinds of movies, people have no right to say that Salman’s movie has no story.
how does someone like Sidharth Anand get to direct movies after disasters like like Ta Ra Rum pum, Anjaana Anjaani…
Where the **** was the story in BangBang? How can you have two of the best looking leads in the industry and not have chemistry between them? In 2.5 hours movie, the director could not even establish why Rajveer had to involve Harleen into all this mess…can go on and on an on… about the stupidity in this movie….
