Earlier, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan were expected to clash at the box office during the Republic Day weekend, what with Ajay’s Shivaay scheduled to release during the same weekend early next year.
However, yesterday it was announced that Hrithik’s Mohenjo Daro would be postponed to the Independence Day weekend. The producer-director of the film, Ashutosh Gowariker, made the announcement through a press release that was sent to the media. Soon after the announcement came another big news – Milan Luthria, the director of films like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture, will be working with Ajay Devgn on a film titled ‘Baadshaho’ – which is scheduled to go on floors later this year and release in theatres on the Independence Day weekend in 2016.
The rest of cast of ‘Baadshaho’ will be announced soon.
The second announcement once again sets up a major clash between Ajay and Hrithik on August 12 2016.

Bollywood is anti-Hrithik. Someone screws up everything whenever a Hrithik movie releases. Fake manipulation controversy during K3, unnecessary clash of Haider with BangBang(Both Kick n Haider belonged to UTV, you can see the reason behind clash), now this Ajay Fussgun is after Mohenjo Daro.

no one cares about ajay, he is not a big enough star without rohit shetty to occupy the holiday weekend releases. He should just release his films on normal working fridays and avoid clashes. He also released a bad film like son of sardar in diwali.
No matter what happens, both movies will do well but still don’t think that clash will happen.

Someone or anyone should release a well-made big budget film on Diwali.. then you’ll know how Tiger will turn into a rat.. Make no mistake.. no one is going to watch Sooraj’s boring Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The title itself is such a major turn off. Youngsters will only laugh at the film. I wish SRK or someone release their film during that week. It will repeat what happened with Jaaneman and Don.
Ajay Devgn & Milan Luthria have great chemistry, their work has been brilliant so far. can’t wait to see Baadshaho.
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai – one of the best movies in 2010.
Chori Chori (2003) – it was inspired Housesitter film but it was loved by the audience and it had one of the best music album of 2003.
Kachche Dhaage (1999) – one of the best thriller of 90’s and also it was box office successful.
What the hell is happening ! I am not able to understand . There is a 22 months gap between Bang Bang and Mohenjo Daro . We will have to wait for 19 months to see Hrithik back on screen . Hrithik and Ajay are both my favourite actors and i don’t want a clash between them . After Mohenjo Daro is postponed Shivaay can release on 22nd Jan 2016 . Jahaan Hrithik jaa raha hai wahaan Ajay kyun aa raha hai . After waiting for so many months i don’t want to see the clash with Mohenjo Daro . It should get a solo release . Baadshaho can release before or after Mohenjo Daro but not with Mohenjo Daro . I seriously hope the clash gets avoided and both movies will get good releases . I think from tomorrow the shooting of Mohenjo Daro will commence . # 19 months to go for Mohenjo Daro . It will be a long wait for all the Hrithikians . Thumbs Up . I don’t think clash will happen, I think Badshahon should postpone.as Mohanjodaro already sorted out earlier clash.
But I am waiting for both, Ouatim is one of my fav film and Sultan Mirza was unmatchable.Dua me yaad rakhna.

Saying Ajay Devgan made Rohit Shetty is like saying Sanjay Dutt made Rajkumar Hirani… Even with Shetty, Ajay only has a limited audience. His highest grosser with Shetty is 140. All their other movies are 100ish..
Now when Shetty worked with SRK.. you know the result it was 227. Ajay’s biggest grosser and opening was SOS that too only because of clash with SRK..
Hrithik movies worst case will do 100 just like SRK, Salman, Aamir.. but Ajay Devgan film will struggle to even get 10 cr opening. Fact. Accepting it or not is your wish.

I think this whole argument of Ajay is because of Shetty, Srk because of Chopra, Aamir because of Hirani, Hrithik because of his father is plain ridiculous!
Let’s analyse Ajay’s recent movies without Shetty. Himmatwala, Tezz, AJ, Son of Sardaar, Dil to Baccha Hai ji, Satyagraha. I know the facts suggest only 1 hit out of 6. But where were you guys when Ajay signed Shetty to direct Golmaal after the failure of Zameen? Sunday wasn’t a big hit either? Rohit’s formula is simple. He either rips off a classic (Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Golmaal or Basu da’s Khatta Metha) or makes a perfect superstar vehicle. (Singham franchise or Chennai Express)
Prakash Jha is repeating the same thing over and over again which is why he has lost his appeal. Priyadarshan is out of form. And now comes THE big question. I believe this same himmatwala would have been a monster hit if Sajid Khan’s name was not attached to the film. Remember his horrifying interview with Masand? What Arnab Goswami did with Rahul Gandhi, Masand did it with Sajid! Calling Askhay a flop, Naseer Sahab a c-grade actor, My film will be Ajay’s biggest hit “bla bla bla” This bunch of harebrained lose comments created so much negativity before film’s release that the multplex audience outright rejected it. Proof is, it’s under performance in first 2 days.
The only surprised failure is AJ, and I still believe Ajay has terrific star power. The day he manages to choose script like Aamir Khan does his movies will have a bumper box office. He is either completely art house (Omkara, Zakhm) or complete mainstream. He needs to strike the balance.

Tezz was a mistake, it had many problems surrounding it and no promotion at all that is why it flopped and many people were not aware the release.
every actor has flops. What about Guzaarish, Kites, mpkdh and yaadeein?? tell me How many Blockbusters he has ( with out his Papa). Saying Ajay is nothing with out Rohit is like I’m saying Hrithik is nothing with out his Papa.
I’m not saying Ajay has more fan following than Hrithik and I know he is not the same league as Khans but the thing is He has talent and he is more versatile than Hrithik.
Ajay is versatile actor and he proved it but Hrithik is not. He sucks at comedy and he can’t deliver a proper one dislodge jut like ajay and that is his weakness.

@gj007.. I dont think one interview makes that big a difference. When it comes to politics, sure, when a guy manages to sound as ridiculous as Rahul Gandhi did on his only televised review, it will affect him. Who wants someone like Rahul Gandhi to lead the nation?
When I dont think Sajid Khan’s interview affected the box office performance of Himmatwala.. Sajid always sounded over confident even during Housefull and Housefull 2.. but both those movies were entertaining.
Regarding star power.. Ajay is a big star no doubt.. but he can never manage to get opening like Hrithik, Ranbir or 3 Khans.. he just doesn’t have that following or charisma.. Akshay IMO is a much bigger crowd puller than Ajay.
