Tanu Weds Manu Returns director Aanand L. Rai has said he has been working hard on his next directorial venture starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, but the script is taking more time than expected.
“Please wait. I am working, I am a very hardworking person and even now I work a lot.” he said at the trailer launch of his production ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’
When asked about the rumours that have been circulating about the film, including the signing of Katrina Kaif as the female lead, Rai said the film is very important for him.
“I am still working on the story. But yes, definitely I can say that it is a love story on which I am working. It is a very important film for me as a director, it will take a little more time than what I was expecting and I’m working on that.”
The film, where Shah Rukh plays a dwarf, is scheduled to release in theatres during Christmas next year.

@hrithik-Lol, so Lallu fans think Lallu is an “average or good” actor whose films require no acting chops whatsoever whereas lots of other actors have delivered films which challenge themselves as an actor. No you are wrong, if Lallu even managed to become an average actor from a pathetic one, his rickshawala fans will lose interest in him since they want masala antics from their Lallu, not emotionally moving acting chops which give a lasting impression like SRK has done in so many films and still managed to give hits and blockbusters.

@Hrithik- SRK can easily do a Tere Naam with far better acting. In the scene where Lallu kidnapped the heroine and went totally berserk, –that is what you call acting?? Tere Naam was a story of unrequited love and nobody has played the role of an unrequited lover better than SRK in Devdas. Even SLB called that “flawless” somedays ago. And Dabang isn’t a character driven film that it would require a great actor. It would just need a stylized hero who can play the role in style( like shaking belt and doing crazy antics). And Lallu, SRK and Akki all have their own style(That’s the only plus point I find in Lallu, that too a recent quality not found in his earlier films). The only role that SRK can’t play is that of a wrestler because he doesn’t have that type of body. That’s his physical restriction, not any creative or artistic. I don’t have any glasses of hatred on my eyes. Lallu fans know it pretty well that Lallu can’t act. And his movies don’t require any acting chops either.
