Tanu Weds Manu Returns director Aanand L. Rai has said he has been working hard on his next directorial venture starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, but the script is taking more time than expected.
“Please wait. I am working, I am a very hardworking person and even now I work a lot.” he said at the trailer launch of his production ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’
When asked about the rumours that have been circulating about the film, including the signing of Katrina Kaif as the female lead, Rai said the film is very important for him.
“I am still working on the story. But yes, definitely I can say that it is a love story on which I am working. It is a very important film for me as a director, it will take a little more time than what I was expecting and I’m working on that.”
The film, where Shah Rukh plays a dwarf, is scheduled to release in theatres during Christmas next year.

We are expecting a new entrant in the league of masterpieces (Tanu weds Manu, Ranjhanaa and TWMR).
But don’t cast Katrina for God sake.
She doesn’t even know ABC of acting and her expressions sucks.
It won’t be an exaggeration if we call her female Salman khan as far as acting is concerned.
I guess Kareena or Priyanka will be perfect for female lead. Don’t want Deepika too, as they (SRK and Deepika) are way too repeated in past.

I am dying to watch Srk in Raees & this Anand’s movie-Srk performance seems solid in Raees(as judged by teaser) and this will be another challenging role-I just love Srk in challenging roles.Secondly Both Raees and this movie have chances to work both in classes and masses.Srk last few releases struggled to get appreciation from class audience even Fan couldnot because of in convincing plot in 2nd half.I am not having high hopes from Imtiaz-Srk next from BO point of view but I love Imtiaz movies and hope he stick to his style rather than looking at BO prospects and comprise on his style.but this Anand’s movie and Raees are so special atleast for me
Though no news on Imtiyaz Ali film!
It seems both Imtiyaz and Anand are competing with each other as who can delay their projects the most.
Come on Imtiyaz Bhai, at least you announce something. Either the title of the movie, it’s star cast or release period.
For me, Raees should be released in first half of 2017, Anand’s movie on Xmas 2017 and Imtiyaz movie on Eid 2018.
Let’s see how things shape up from here!

Take all your time Anand sir. Story and content is obviously the most important factor. The VFX and other technical aspects are secondary. Try to even better your work in TWM and TWMR.
If I consider the period from now till Dec 2017, then this is my most awaited movie for that period. Have said it before that since the time I have heard SRK is playing a dwarf in it, I have gone a bit (or more) crazy.
Desperately waiting for the announcement of complete star cast and other details.

This movie is very important for both Anand as well as SRK . Anand has 100 % success ratio and all his 3 movies have been critically and commercially accepted . All his movies are pretty desi which is the best thing and the characters are pretty simple . Kundan, Tanu, Manu, Zoya and Murari . But now he will be working with SRK and the budget will be very high so now he has to exceed all the expectations . Nobody knows which movie will release on Christmas 2017 as there are many movies vying for a single date . I am still waiting for the official announcement regarding the title as well as the lead actress . SRK playing a Dwarf is a huge challenge as only Kamal Hassan could be successful in Appu Raja . Such movies need exceptional Make Up and VFX to make the character look believable . SRK also needs to work on his body language to properly suit the role of a Dwarf without looking fake . Anand Rai is a pretty genuine person and I hope he continues to make more entertaining movies with the Indian Tadka . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Katrina requested SRK to take her in the film coz she doesn’t have any big projects right now . And u know , SRK can’t say ‘NO’ to friends .
Moreover Kareena won’t be a part of this film due to her pregnancy . Deepika ha signed Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ which is another big project so she can’t be cast in this film .
Another option is Kanagana coz Anand considers her to be his lucky charm . But most probably Katrina has the upper hand here .
i dont think it will be ready for bext xmas.. as he is still writing the script..and as we know srk is working in several other movies so it will be difficult to manage time..hope for the best..seems to be interesting waiting for it …??
