Recently, Vivek Oberoi has been quite open about the fact that he has been close to Shahrukh and Gauri Khan. He was seen at almost all parties hosted by SRK, who he considers a mentor, a guide and one of his only close friends in the industry, after the infamous press conference a few years back.
The hanging around with SRK might have just worked for Vivek, as the actor is being considered to play the role of a villian in SRK’s Red Chillies produced superhero flick Ra 1.
Arjun Rampal was the original choice but the back problem he has been suffering from recently, now requires treatment. Since the character demands heavy duty action stunts, Vivek is expected to replace Arjun for the negative role.
If it does indeed work out, RA 1 could prove to be a well-deserved break for Vivek. What do you think?
He suffering a lot.. In front of all he made him fool a lot.. He tried a lot to back on his track.. But everybody was refused him.. After srk n salman fight Srk was trying to creat a strong Elit camp in bollywood and he succesed by getting Karan Johar+AB Family+Yash Chopda Camp in a one raw. Now Srk is much stronger with his camp. He took salman’s enemy in his camp who was very much neglected by bollywood and so under rated actor in bollywood too. When will Ra1 release this year or early next year because it seems like it will finish shooting around this year and will be ready by december but december has been occupied by Tees Mera Khan.

My Name is Khan pre-release reaction has been mixed Nitesh, not poor. It has already got the thumbs up from the BJP and many of the film fraternity, most calling SRKs performace outstanding.
But I agree with u in that the film will struggle at the box office in India due to the large amount of anti-srk fans and the theme of the film. Also from what i understand in the pre-release screenings in the UK (I didnt get a chance to attend this), My name is Khan has been made to cater for alot more than just an Indian audience, in fact such that its tone is more like a Hollywood film, this was some of the feedback i got, other feedback was that “SRK is exceptional,” “the film refrains from being Islamic propoganda” and “unlike New York and Kurbaan it is not anti-american”, “the film also looks to represent all cultures”, from what i understand there is also a chinese character in the film, while also a pair of american farmers, and characters of a carribean descent.
Had it not been made for an international audience then SRK would have probably apologised by now to the Shiv Sena, but then again he is muslim and as a muslim myself i know that in the quran it is written “that if you are backed into a corner but believe you are right, then uphold your beliefs, Allah Subhanatallah will give you the strength to overcome any weaknesses”
SRK is certainly not many peoples (Indians) cup of tea. As an educated Indian myself who lived there for 20 years i fail to see what the controvery is about, but hey thats my opinion.
As for Vivek in Ra1, might just save his flagging career. Prince looks unbearable.
