Buddha Hoga Tera Baap has been declared a FLOP by the trade. Here are some of the reasons..
- The theatrical business has failed to live up to expectations as the Amitabh Bachchan starrer opened to a disappointing response on Friday. The film was quite obviously affected by the release of biggies like Delhi Belly and Transformers 3.
- On weekdays the business was steady on the lower side, but not enough to recover its investment through theatrical business. The satellite rights have been sold for Rs 13.5 crores which will help the film break-even.
- Second week was always going to be crucial but the release of Murder 2 has meant that Buddha has been replaced at single screens by the Emraan Hashmi starrer.
- At multiplexes too Buddha Hoga Tera Baap has lost out on more than 60% of its shows, due to the release of Murder 2 and the craze amongst the youth for Delhi Belly has resulted in the exhibitors increasing the number of shows in its second week.
Overall, the craze for Delhi Belly along with the release of Murder 2 this week has affected Buddha badly. 2nd week collections are expected to be very low and the theatrical business of Amitabh Bachchan’s much hyped return-to-yesteryear roles will remain a mega disappointment!

well, as I expected. the bachan family seems to be making money mostly from aishwarya these days. amitabh should stay at home or play roles his age. but anyway, looking forward to the movie arakarshan, the subject of the movie sounds much more interesting…

Now when BHTBaap is a profitable venture, then these haters’ pichhwada is burning more…….Now they are taunting that BHTBaap is a blockbuster for BIGB fans………..hahahahah………In reality we never claimed its a blockbuster………we knew that BHTBaap is arriving at a time when Delhi belly and transformer craze was its peak and still it magaed to do profitable business (bioth India and overseas)……….
As you can read copmments from haters like prem. aditya etc… they are not able to digest that ultimately BHTBaap came out as a profit film…………..I never expected BHTBaap as a path breaking film neither I expected that its going to be blockbuster keeping in mind the two giants production it was going to compete and the time it arrived….

taran adarsh komal nahata run portals which aid in the publicity of many a film ..they hardlyy ever label a film a flop..their portal is responsible as a media partner for almost every film.. they give 3.5 and above rating to every film..no wonder they are calling it profitable who will annoy bigb?

1)BHTBaap promos arrived much later when DBelly and Transformer rage was on its peak
2)Amir khan production is the best in India (even ab corp stands no where in front of it and no other khans have galls to release their movie pitted against AKP)
3)I have always asked readers to go for multiple sources to find out what distrivbutors and VIACOM 18 are saying …
4)AARAKSHAN will be even bigger success as it wont share screens with any other films and wont pitted against bollywood and holywood production giants..and even if some new movie is now announced to be released against aarakshan it wont be able to compete with it………

Lool at Aamir he never runs from anyone, he has releases his film TZP in the same day with another biggie Welcome and when the film did not open well he accepted that and he wrote that he was expected even less did he say that he has sone a big achievement?, but after the film became a Superhit. Now when his film Dhobi Ghat underperformed did he prove to evryone that it’s not Flop? Yes actually it wasn’t really a big flop it did an average buisness but it’s a Flop in the public perception so it’s Ok, did he say that the reason behind the failure of Dhobi Ghat is because it clashed with another biggie YPD? Was Delhi Belly(an adult film) supposed to beat BHTB??? The film contained steamy scenes, vukgar language and only youngsters watched it i.e no family audience still it did so well but for BHTB despite the publicity and the high reviews from every critics it did not manage to get even a decent opening!

his last hit film was PAA which also recieved gave him NATIONAL AWARD and FILMFARE BEST ACTOR (POPULARS AWARD)…………Like I told you people here dont even know anything about BIGB and hate him like anything………..Yes be happy thinking that BHTBaap is flop….when did I stop you to belive that????…Its your wish na………be happy…..and your comparing BTHbaap to trash like laal badshah and aaj ka arjun clearly shows your taste (by the way aaj ka arjun was hit even though I agree it was a trash movie)……….Even BHTBaap is nota great movie interms of script and story but thoroughly entertaining due to one man known as BIGB….just ask anyone who saw the movie and didnt like BIGB’s performance…Even I didnt like the script but loved his performance…….

Also since your knowledge about BIGB is obvious by now, let me also tell you that in God-tussi great ho and Aladin he had supporting role and not main role……….again it shows how much you know about BIGB..Also remember that BIGB is the only star actor who gave atleast one successful movie every year( from 2000-2009)…yes he had his shares of flops also but remember he is not in his prime…..he has to relegated to back seat sometime due to his age but still he performed great wheneber he played lead roles as SOLOs like Black, CHeeni kum, baghban,PAA etc.. he did well.

if PAA IS A HIT THEN SO IS THIS ONE the collection and trend of paa and bbudaah are similar..chalo mana to sahee apne ki film kamzor thi… do u feel bigb turned a rabbit out of the hat with his performance?? this is what he usually does..normally.every one of his films by his presence becomes a big film no less if he was not the main lead in god tussi then i guess he was not the main lead in anand too also in sholay and rambalram too.. in a movie u do share screen space with other actors,, in aladdin he was big not ritesh… he too was one amongst many in kaante ..that too didnt work?

First of all Amit gi is the only mega star of bollywood. I really doted any other actor can come close delivered the performance what Amit ji was able to give at the age of 68-69. He is a legend and it really same the see that the kind of respect he is getting here.
As i said above BHTB is not a faliur in any means. If BHTB is a failure then MAIK and TMK are flops but they are not.
And stop comparing him with current stars, because at that age Amit ji was unstoppable. no one will able to catch his hights ever in the bollywood.
I am not a real fan of Amit ji but he is deserve all the respect and for the kind of entertainment he has provided years after year.

Taran has given the nett fig i.s India theatrical : 15-16cr and overseas : 4cr but only DS was considered while preparing Economical dynamics of a movie.
I actually admire Amitji as an actor he is uncomparable, and i respect him a lot. He’s truely a Star and a great actor. But I did not like the film BHTB, I think at this age it will be good if we see him in roles that suit his age i.e supp roles, he can pull them well and better than any other actor so looking dorward Aakrashan.
can we stop this love and respect for amitji for saometime and just talk about the movie.. we indians always respect our elders and i think our parents have achieved many heights in their professions and they are good at what they do .. so if amit ji acts well so bigdeal ..im aconsidered one of the bestin my profession too.. so just lets cut the crap about him being legend etc..
lets just accept that this movie didnt work and is a lesson for amit ji that he cannot take audience for granted .. a similar time was seen by him when he made crap films with manmohan desai …toofan jadugar mard jurmana etc..all didnt work.. and now again he thought he can do any potpourri show and audience willlove it .. he forgets that the generation has changed entirely and people like peppy movies not his style of bang bang..his dialogues were like rajkumar of 80s ..these do not work in todays time .. it was a third rate performance from him ..actually it was just routine for him
