Veer is the 3rd most highest opening movie in india…..and i think it is the most entertaining movie which is ever made in bollywood.this movie has all the things like great action sequence (never done in indian cinema),melodious songs,fantastic cinematography,great dialogs,beautiful zarine khan,perfect direction and none another than Salman khan.so go and watch movie…..its a great experience of bollywood movie…
The newly released film “VEER” is an excellent film. It is Indias Gladiator. Salman and Anil Sharma Rocks.
Star Power – Salman had marvellous performance as Warrior. He definitely deserves to get an award for his performance.
Everyone’s awaiting VEER with bated breath. The film industry will get another VEER that goes the Gadar way at the box-office. The junta are going crazy.
Salman Khan [who has been credited as the story writer of VEER] takes TARAS BULBA, adds GLADIATOR, CONAN THE BARBARIAN, TROY, TITANIC and even KRANTI [the end is a straight lift of Manoj Kumar’s Dilip Kumar starrer] and comes up with good film.
VEER is about a warrior and at the same time, it’s a love story too. It is a film the people loves it.
Salman’s star power tries proves once again, He is a crowd puller.
As the British enslave India with their devious Divide and Rule policy, kings and nawabs fall to their guile and cunning schemes and entrust their precious kingdom to the foreigners. Except for the brave Pindaris, who prefer death to dishonour and will fight to their last breath to save their land.
The bravest, the toughest, the strongest of the Pindaris is Veer [Salman Khan]. As Veer takes on the might of the British Empire, he also has to fight the conniving King of Madavgarh [Jackie Shroff] as well his own jealous tribesmen. At stake is his love for princess Yashodhara [Zarine Khan], daughter of his sworn enemy. At stake is his thirst to avenge his father’s dishonour.
VEER has it all – great stars, opulent and majestic sets, adrenaline pumping action scenes. The movie begins with a bang, but the moment the story shifts to London, the beautiful location taken by cinematography. All credits goes to him.
Director Anil Sharma deliver the film excellently. He repeats the same magic of Gadar once again. Sajid-Wajid’s music is melodious, All songs including [‘Surili Ankhiyon Wali’] is going craze with the audience. The background score [Monty] is top notch. Gopal Shah’s cinematography is splendid. Tinu Verma’s action scenes are dynamic and in fact, the highlight of film VEER. The production design [art: Sanjay Dhabade] give an authentic feel of the bygone era.
VEER rides on Salman’s star power. His perfarmances as warrior will fetch him an award. He excels in the entire film. Zarine Khan resembles Katrina Kaif, but wears one ex-pression all through. Mithun is good and can win best supporting actor for his performances, while Jackie does his bit well. Sohail Khan is okay. Puru Raaj Kumar and Aryan Vaid are also okay. Neena Gupta is as usual. The English actors are stereotype.
On the whole, VEER is a must watch film. It had all ingredients that makes the film Super Hit
Believe me…after one week when this movie is a a washout ..flop and again reviewers here will eat their humble pie and pray for few more crores to drop for this atrocious piece of cinema this film is worse than de danandan..poor in all respects of movie making ..it lacks soul…this is the biggest flop of the year and only salman can beat this movie in the worst movie category
Well I need to make two things clear in the beginning that first of all I am a big Salman Khan fan and secondly I know that most of the reviews about Veer are not very encouraging. But both these things have not affected my opinion about the movie. Veer is probably not one of the finest movies in recent times and since there were huge expectations before the release, it has disappointed some of the people out there.
But let us get this straight that Veer really has some positive points. First of all for all Salman fans, he has performed outstandingly in the movie. He is at his best in the movie. Action, Romance, Drama you name it and Salman delivers it with ease. The film has a great look thanks to the splendid cinematography. All the action sequences are shot perfectly.
‘Veer’ is a love story about a Pindhari warrior Veer set in the backdrop of 19th century when India was under foreign rule. And it is also about the struggle of Pindhari tribe against the foreign rule and their contribution in India’s fight for freedom.
Zarine Khan (who plays Veer’s love interest) is good in her debut. Mithun Chakroborthy delivers a splendid performance. Sohail Khan is average. Jackie Shrauff is fine. Anil Sharma’s direction is good but the script could have been better and tight.
The first half of the movie is strong. The second half could have been shorter, it drags a little bit.
Music by Sajid-Wajid is decent. Surili Akhiyon Wale, Salaam Aaya are really melodious and all the songs are picturised perfectly. Surili Akhiyon Wale really stands out.
Veer stands out for two reasons – Salman Khan and the grand look it has. If you go to this movie with a bias after reading all the reviews probably you won’t like it. I suggest that you guys should go for this movie without any bias and you may just enjoy it.
Hey just saw evening show of VEER.. in a multiplex in delhi… sadly the theatre ws only half filled…dats bcoz the ticket cost is very high.. As for my view, i liked it very much mainly bcoz of Salman power and very gud action..also dialogues are really entertaining….I wish i shud have seen this film in single screen…as i wud have enjoyed more… Multiplex crowd is so sober…no one even shouted… Now its upto the single screen crowd to make it a hit…I truly wish that Veer rules the box office….ma fav dialog:-”hey kaaka, jahaan se nikalunga wahaa se paanch sher ghosh nikalunga..” awesome…I love SAlman Khan ..
