Salman Khan’s Veer has opened to a fantastic response at the box office and is currently on a record-breaking spree on single screens. Business is best in North, East and Central India and worst down South.
Single screen business is 90% on Day 1 while multiplexes have seen around 50-60% average through the day. Combined, Veer has managed to nett 7 crores on Day 1 all over India.
As the film is performing best at single screens, it would be unfair to compare Veer based on box office nett collections. Going by the distributors share, the Day 1 business of Veer is next only to Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots and Ghajini.
Saturday too, the business is excellent at single screens and it would be very interesting to see how the film performs on its first crucial weekday. Tuesday, being a holiday (Republic day) should also boost the Week 1 collections.
If the trending is close to as good as Wanted, Veer should easily attain HIT status.

i think why srk and aamir film work work is because they are single mindedly devoted to the craft whereas salman is besooted with girlfriend /court cases and all that.. i wish he would settle down so that we can see matur e stuff from him.. his peers are doing great stuff because of the stbility factor even saif if stable now with kareena around him and is doing quality stuff but apne salman saab ..doing anil sharma ???who is living in dharmendra era>>???.why sallu why..?? u have disapointed not only me but everyone here on indicine and all over the world…!!!
this film should not be compared or taken to be inspired from any troy /gladiator cos it is much below thier standards ..anil sharma is besotted with chopping of hands ..he did it with some dharmandra starrer with sushma seth ..it had sadashiv amrapurkar .. now things like these dont make a hit ..its s dumb script with dumb acting and whass that choole ke peeche girl over acting.. this film is too flawed .in fact if salman wasnt in it ..it would be a c grade movie ..poor zarine..the fat bimbo..poor thing
amir, srk and hrthik becme a trademark of good film on the other hand salman khan become a trademark of crap moviese.

“VEER” has recorded good collections at Indore multiplexes. Collections are similar to Salman Khan’s last hit Wanted. The single screens in Indore for” VEER” are much better than Wanted initially.
