Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief fund, days after the city of Chennai came to a standstill due to heavy rains and floods.
In a letter from his production house Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh wrote:
Dear Madan Chief Minister,
We are all deeply affected by the devastation wreaked on the city of Chennai by the fury of nature. At the same time, the resilience of the people of Chennai and the way in which the community has come together to help each other and face this adversity is commendable and makes us all feel proud.
On behalf of Red Chillies Entertainment and Team Dilwale, please accept our contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
We appreciate the massive effort undertaken by your government and everyone in Chennai, to deal with this calamity and we hope our contribution will help in a small way.

@ Really Nice gesture from SRK and what I love more is that it happened on behalf of RC and Dilwale team , which means the entire team/Unit has collectively contributed and none spoke about it even when social media was barking at him . We would have never known about this if CM office has not leaked it.
People can call it as Publicity stunt but I would like to remind them irrespective of his donation, people who have decided to watch will watch and people who decided to boycott will boycott.
