Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief fund, days after the city of Chennai came to a standstill due to heavy rains and floods.
In a letter from his production house Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh wrote:
Dear Madan Chief Minister,
We are all deeply affected by the devastation wreaked on the city of Chennai by the fury of nature. At the same time, the resilience of the people of Chennai and the way in which the community has come together to help each other and face this adversity is commendable and makes us all feel proud.
On behalf of Red Chillies Entertainment and Team Dilwale, please accept our contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
We appreciate the massive effort undertaken by your government and everyone in Chennai, to deal with this calamity and we hope our contribution will help in a small way.

The charity was done 2 days before . & the Chennai PM office ppl revealed that SRK donated for Chennai. SRK never said he donated 25 cr in 2013-14 for many causes & 33 lakhs for Uttarakhand cause. SRK adopts villages & provide them free electricity-water but no1 talks about it..

This is great . Chennai is facing a tough time and the floods have wreaked havoc in the city . My prayers with those people who lost their lives and got affected by the floods . Exceptional work done by the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force for rescuing thousands of people and saving their lives . God Bless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
