At 1:52AM on Saturday morning, when the news was out that his latest release Bajrangi Bhaijaan had recorded historic collections at the box office, Salman Khan took to Twitter to talk about 1993 Mumbai bomb blast convict Yakub Menon.

“Yakub Abdul Razak Memon is an Indian terrorist and chartered accountant, who was convicted over his involvement in the 1993 Bombay bombings by Special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities court on 27 July 2007. Yakub Memon is the brother of one of the prime suspects in the bombings, Tiger Memon. Following a series of appeals, the Supreme Court of India rejected his final appeal on 21 July 2015. He is currently scheduled to be executed by hanging on 30 July 2015.”

Salman’s tweets were immediately criticised on Twitter. Politicians too said he should retract his statement as it is against the Supreme Court’s decision.
The first reaction to Salman’s tweet came from his father Salim Khan, who called it meaningless “My son’s tweets regarding Yakub Memon are meaningless. I do not support his statements. His tweets are wrong.”

Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam “His statement directly amount to contempt to court. The impression created amongst his followers is that Yakub is innocent. What proof does Salman Khan have? In the first set of tweets, he appealed Pakistan to hand over Tiger. While I welcome his appeal, this also means that he is aware of his location. The country is known for its belief on judiciary and Khan’s statement has questioned it.”
Abha Singh (lawyer): Salman himself is a convict who has been given a punishment of 5 yrs, still he has audacity to say Yakub is innocent. Is he trying to question judicial system of country? His statement is very improper and against rule of law.
Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena): Is he trying to question the judicial system of the nation? One shouldn’t pay attention to such things, it should be ignored.
Raza Murad (Actor): That’s Salman’s personal opinion, he has a right to express opinion as a citizen of democratic nation.

Not once but I repeat hundreds and thousands times that Salman will do whatever he believes is right and feel is right whether it damages his own image in process (bcoz he is not media savvy and fake like other celebrities like your king). There is only one person who can advise and control him which is his father, Salim Khan Saheb. Despite media and politicians protest he did not take back his tweets unless his father asked him to retract it. Read his new tweets (if you are on twitter) he clearly mentions on whose advise he is retracting his words !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
